Outcome different that what I expected.

My children bought this for me for Christmas. I've always considered myself German-Irish. As it turns out my generic makeup is much more complex. Found out I have some Neanderthal, French, Italian and Jewish in my makeup.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Thank you for your feedback. The 23andMe Health + Ancestry Service is the first and only genetic service available directly to you that includes reports that meet FDA standards. You now are able to receive 65+ reports on health, traits and ancestry instead of exclusively ancestry reports.

Keep in mind that each health, trait and wellness report includes a Scientific Details tab that includes more detailed information.

A revelation

My true ancestry has been a mystery and piecing together my heritage via assumptions from ancestors always felt like a game of telephone. Getting my results back and sharing with my family was a great thrill. I highly recommend 23 and me.

I thought the data would be easier to interpret. Not so much and then the results turn into an infomercial to buy more data.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have been working on my family tree for a couple of years now. The results I received from 23andMe aligned with what I've been able to uncover about my ancestry and confirmed what I was fairly certain was my ultimate heritage. It's been fun and thank you.

Started with this company first in late December. Got my results in about a month! Interesting finds about my ancestry & genetic health/traits. Lots to learn from this. You can download the raw data, too. Lots of details given. They'll ask questions to further understand you & your daily lives/habits for better research & insight relating to your genetics.
