Found my Biological Heritage

Being adopted and not knowing my biological family or history, I tried 23andMe DNA Testing. Not only did I find where I was from, but 23andMe identified several biological relatives. A 1st cousin was identified and this has now opened the possibility of me finding my biological parents and maybe siblings. I am so greatful!

Surprising and fascinating

Very easy to use, and rather fast results considering the wealth of info contained in our reports. My wife and I didn't think we'd be surprised by the results, but we were. We're excited to participate in this research and it's been fascinating to learn about the methodology. Have recommended highly to friends and family.

I've always wondered...

I've always wondered about my background. I'm adopted, and was told I was "Irish and German" but who knows? The results were really amazing, and I even found a second cousin in the process. We haven't linked up, but that might be a next step.

Enjoyed doing research questions, company was very organized every step of the way, was disappointed that the 46% of my DNA that I was trying to find out about came back unanswered

Thank you for your feedback. Our Ancestry Composition report will tell you what percent of your DNA comes from each of 31 populations worldwide. Ancestry Composition has the ability to assign pieces of your DNA at several geographic scales, according to where these pieces of DNA are found to be common throughout the world. Pieces of DNA found in multiple widespread regions, such as Europe, the Near East, and Asia, will be labeled “Unassigned.”
