Not as detailed as I was led to believe

I was happy to confirm that my ethnic background was 87% Eastern European. However, that category encompasses many nationalities and I was disappointed to see that the report was not more country specific for countries such as Poland, Moldavia, Ukraine, Hungary, Russia, and other Slavic countries.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

the ancestry, the social connections,
and glad my survey responses help science.
. they had me as slightly north african;
while my brother had been subsaharan african;
then they changed me to subsaharan african;
it would be nice to know how they decide these things;
or how sure they are;
is there any chance we are both north african?
I guess they weren't sure about me but sure about him,
and since we appear to be brothers, ok.

Easy to understand instructions and final report.

Very satisfied with my experience. Five minutes of spitting and out to the mailbox and a little over a month you have an easy to understand report. It's basic and doesn't provide the ancestry history of course...but it's a great place to start.

Blown away.

1. Box showed up.
2. I spat.
3. Mailed it in.

From there on the process was smooth. Answer few questions and just start imagineing if you are an Alien or Neanderthal, or a homo sapien.
5. Results are in, no alien bloodline just a mix of Homo Sapien and Neaderthal variants.
It was a an awesome experience to know my generation foot prints. Thank you 23andme hands down way better results than the one my friends got from ancestry.
