Hmmmm?

There really wasn't much information that I could see. Nothing specific as to where other people with my DNA might be predominant. (Europe is a BIG place) The battery of almost 600 questions: What is the purpose of that? Nothing indicated to me if I would get any feedback from it, or if it was indeed going to anyone. Sorry, but would be hard to recommend spending 100 dollars for such general information. Maybe someone will read this and tell me something.

I've always been curious to my background so decided on 23andMe. I was surprised at some of the findings.They provided a thorough evaluation even going back to Neanderthal traits.

Amazing insight

Initially, my husband and I used this service to screen for disease carriers prior to us having children. The plethora of information that I gained along with that information was amazing. To find relatives that I didn't know I had was such a suprise.

I participated as a favor to my stepdaughter and am glad i did.
I previously participated in the National Geographic rna study and appreciate the detail of 23 and me to flesh out the results.
The genetic cousins in the study was a busy but maybe with further participation that will get more interesting

Exciting to see what varied background my family had. My maternal line was European, so my brother is going to check his DNA to see what the Y chromosome test shows.

I loved knowing about my ancestry, which was the main reason I participated in this project. I think the information could be consolidated, as I receive too many e-mails regarding this project.

I decided to get my DNA tested and 23andMe had good reviews.
The ancestory results were not entirely surprising, but very confirming.
There is a lot of information to review and the reporting format is great.
If I were having children I would absolutely get the health review in addition to the ancestry.
