didn't really help me

not worth the price I paid, overall product didn't really give me the answers I was hoping to get and still not sure how to go about finding my family with the information I have. sight is confusing and hard to find information if your not going to spend hours wondering their site.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The 23andMe Health + Ancestry Service provides both health and ancestry information in a single service for a single price and is the first and only genetic service available directly to you that includes reports that meet FDA standards. You receive 65+ personalized genetic reports to help you understand what your DNA says about your health, traits and ancestry.
One of the features included in our service is called DNA Relatives. DNA Relatives locates other 23andMe members that match your DNA. This feature estimates a predicted relationship and range using the length and number of segments and percent DNA shared. When two people share identical segments of DNA, this indicates that they share a recent common ancestor.

Thank you for your feedback. The population labels in Ancestry Composition refer to genetically similar groups, rather than nationalities. In general, we sought to make the populations as small as possible, subject to the constraint of being able to distinguish between them. Populations may be inherently difficult to distinguish because of historical mixing, or we might not have had enough data to tell them apart.

Your results are a living analysis. Using thousands of reference individuals we are able to continually evolve and improve your results. As we update our reference data, it will not be uncommon to see slight shifts in your results over time.

Ancestry background

I had 23&Me run a test on my ancestry and I found an overwhelming suspicion to be more than correct. I never knew much about my family and so I went in search and have been blessed beyond to find my roots and exactly where my family, both mom and dad, originated from. Thank you.

Thank you for your feedback. The 23andMe Health + Ancestry Service is the first and only genetic service available directly to you that includes reports that meet FDA standards. You now are able to receive 65+ reports on health, traits and ancestry instead of exclusively ancestry reports.
In addition, the 23andMe site has been redesigned, offering updated tools and features, better functionality, and new content.

Told me nothing new

This money is poorly spent. It told me I had freckles and what I could taste or smell.This info is obvious. It told me I was a certain percentage from a part of the world. Pretty much knew that but it was not very specific.

So interesting!!!

My father and I did this together to give me a complete picture as I am female. He and I felt like it was Christmas going through all of the info. My mother has told us about most of our heritage. She passed away last year and she would have been fascinated to know that she was correct but also that there was so much more! It truly has changed my outlook on people. We really are the same in more ways than we know!!
I would recommend this to a friend!

My husband ordered this for me last month for my birthday..It came quickly in the mail along with a message card....of course...it was simple to do...just fill the test tube with saliva...and place in a seal bag...which was provided...and return in the box it came in....the hardest part....waiting for the results...it was around a month...but it was worth it..
I would recommend this to a friend!
