Good information, fast

I asked for the full genome analysis for my family (myself, husband and our kids) for my birthday this year and I'm so glad I did. We have learned something about where we came from and some risks as well. I'd highly recommend it to other families.

23andme has a nice product. It gives you a little of everything in it, although a few things might not be 100% correct all the time. I think it is wise not to answer any questions until after you get the results so that you know the results are based on your DNA and not on your answers. I had taken the test at two other companies first before I did the 23andme. I wish I would have taken 23andme second, instead of third.

I loved finding out "where I came from" and most of what my family had told me was pretty much true. I ordered it for my younger son for his birthday and will order it for my daughter in law and also for my older son for their birthdays.

I did this testing because I didn't know who my biological father was and I wanted to know my ethnicity. I didn't expect anything more than that. But I found out my genetic makeup. Found a cousin which led me to my biological father. It's so surreal. So amazing.
