Fantastic, I've learned so much since the results have arrived and I keep recommending your company to friends and relatives. We will try to get my 94 year Father to submit his saliva over the 10 of Dec, which is very important to me and my further research with the DNA. My brother also will be doing it as well that same weekend. I look forward to meeting more family members that share the same DNA as I do.

For someone in a family of generally long lived and healthy individuals who sort of know where their people came from, not much additional info is derived.

Thank you for your feedback. The 23andMe Health + Ancestry Service is the first and only genetic service available directly to you that includes reports that meet FDA standards. You now are able to receive 65+ reports on health, traits and ancestry instead of exclusively ancestry reports.
We are working hard to meet your expectations on the types of reports we offer. In the future, we hope to offer reports about genetic risk for serious health conditions.

DNA results

I purchased only the genealogy portion of the DNA results. The information came back within 5 weeks time. I almost deleted it because the email came as a "donotreply" and there was no indication it was from 23 and Me. I thought it was a report of a recent medical test that I had done. The results were about what I expected...except I thought I may have had some long-age mixed DNA from Asia or Africa. There was a lot of scientific explanation on the report which I appreciated, but more than I needed.

I received this as a gift. The ancestry part is a little interesting. Do not do the upgraded genetic portion. Most of the genetic portion is physical features you already know about yourself

Does not break out Irish heritage from British heritage--important to both! Very little unknown information given. Chromosone/gene information is so detailes (12,000 pages) as to be useless.

Thank you for your feedback. The population labels in Ancestry Composition refer to genetically similar groups, rather than nationalities. In general, we sought to make the populations as small as possible, subject to the constraint of being able to distinguish between them. Populations may be inherently difficult to distinguish because of historical mixing, or we might not have had enough data to tell them apart.
We provide the raw data information to customers who are interested in additional research, however this raw data is in an uninterpreted format. We are not able to provide interpretation beyond what is available within your 23andMe account tools and features.
*Keep in mind that the data from the 23andMe Browse Raw Data feature is suitable only for research, educational, and informational use and not for medical or other use. While 23andMe raw data has undergone a general quality review, only a subset of markers have been individually validated for accuracy.
