Cleft Chin

Just for you information, I have a cleft chin from my mother who is DAR. I have a dimple in middle of chin from my father who is IRISH. In my report, it states I do not have a cleft chin.

23andme has provided insight & understanding for so many of my Family attributes and confirms our oral & written Family history back to when written records existed.
For me personally the medical info confirms our Celtic connection and the longevity for some many of my Family members. The Neanderthal analysis explains my very durable health in extreme weather conditions for hunting & fishing in the outdoors. I enjoy the knowledge of my genetic inheritance!!!

A distant cousin, child of my Grandfathers Sister, contacted me. Have wondered about his dad, family ties that moved to Ca., N.M. and prodigy to the Boston area. Along with my Irish previously hidden, genome...life is good, evolving and more often than not...quite remarkable in many respects...carry on the fine research...ajf

I think the ancestry information obtained is so general that it could apply to pretty much anyone. I didn’t learn anything about myself that a basic biology class hasn’t already covered about the human race.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My latest genetic report is way off base. The research showed that I was less likely to match a musical note. WAY WRONG. I have been a soloist since childhood and a musician. H
I have near perfect pitch. It also said I was most likely to be afraid of heights. WAY OFF BASE. I served in the U S Navy as a Senior Intelligence Petty Officer and served in an Air Wing. I spent a good deal of time in. P3Orion and did Aerial Photography hanging outside of a Huey. I am beginning to think this is not the most accurate gauge. They got some of my ancestry correct, but much was missing.

While our trait reports analyze genetic variants known to influence each trait, in reality most traits are influenced by additional genetic and nongenetic factors that aren't included in our analyses. Genetics only tells part of the story when it comes to many of our traits, so that's why our prediction about your trait may not always match your actual trait.

Exciting and scary at the same time-I would do it!

I received my kit as a birthday present. I was excited to complete it and learn things about myself and where my ancestors were from. I was also scared to know the medical side. i thought better to know than to not know. Overall, I loved it.
