The proces was quick and simple,and my results were in faster than expected. I have a general interest in genetics and science so the information provided by 23andme is very exciting to me. the only reason why I can't give a 5 star rating is because, they can only test so much and I'm left wanting to know more!!

Embarrassed that I had recommended product to 1st cousin. Proof that her mother and mine are biological sisters with same parents yet she doesn't show being a relative. Seriously?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

- He or she does not yet have results
- He or she is not opted in to the DNA Relatives feature
- There was no genetic relationship found
Please confirm with this individual that he or she has received complete results including DNA Relatives, and that he or she has opted in to this feature.

I found it interesting. However most of the traits that it said were most likely were the complete opposite.

Still too US Centric

Many of the questions in the examples use US centric based examples. You REALLY need to be international. The rest of the world does NOT use imperial measures and have no idea what a Mile or Degrees in F are??? Many drugs are referred to as the US specific name rather than a generic drug name and some herbs and vegetables also use US specific names and we don't know what they are!

Easy to use

This was great product. I got I for Christmas and I was supposed on how easy it was to use. You just follow the step by step instructions and mail the kit to 23 and me. They would even send updates on the process so your not guessing when you results would come back.
I would recommend this to a friend!

23 % Me has been an invaluable tool during my research and understand physical and medical attributes although it would be improved by more focus on variants found in or related to a wider ethnic diaspora of Africa such as causes cancer and/or other inherited defects
