Lots of fluff and useless information

200.00 is to much to pay for the amount of information I received. I would have enjoyed more about my history people and background, than how long my finger should be and how much I should weigh.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for your feedback. The 23andMe Health + Ancestry Service is the first and only genetic service available directly to you that includes reports that meet FDA standards. You now are able to receive 75+ reports on health, traits and ancestry instead of exclusively ancestry reports.
In addition, the 23andMe site has been redesigned, offering updated tools and features, better functionality, and new content.

Moderately interesting.

23 and Me has certainly compiled a lot of information about a lot of things. Some of it is quite interesting and others, not so much. My ethnicity presented, really, no surprise; we are a boring, seldom-intermarrying lot. I have found the medical information interesting and potentially useful to my kin. Spitting up enough spit was a challenge but I persevered and succeeded, finally.

Health Reports are Good. Way Too Few Relatives.

The health reports are potentially instructive. There are way too few participants on 23andMe for effective family connections. My relatives count seems frozen, after months, at about 1,150, which is ridiculous. My nearest relative on 23andMe is a 2nd-3rd cousin.

Bass on my DNA results yes I am somewhat happy but the 3.7unassigned has I am sad. I guess I will never know where is it coming from. Thank You

23 and Me has the opportunity to support the genetic basis for social behavior. Some of its findings are useful for this, especially the genetic basis of power found in certain nuisance disorders. Need more research in Arctic hysteria, paradoxical undressing, autism, Tourette's and schizophrenia. Assess specific behavior.

It has been a fun experience but, I have also tested my genealogyDNA at other labs. All the labs have similar results for my DNA. I think 23andme testing is worth the value if it includes the ability to consider the health aspect. It is also important to try and keep up with the surveys even if they are time consuming.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Five close relatives connected on 23andme. Found a male descendant who gave his DNA, finding my father's information which we never had before.

Fun to do

It is a fun thing to do, especially the ancestry part. I am extremely lactose intolerant and can't understand why this test didn't indicate that.
