A Continuing Source of Pleasure

I have learned so much through my 23AndMe test! I now have a whole new set of cousins in France that we enjoy visiting and getting to know, and I have a new half-brother! Even though I am already from a large family, we always seem to have room for more. DNA testing is opening up many new human connections for us, and it changes the way we think of strangers-- they may just be relatives we haven't yet met. 23AndMe has a great, engaging interface and is very easy to understand. I'm so glad I did this!

Enjoying being a part of research

I bought the kit three years ago. It was really easy to get set up and begin learning about my DNA. I like the continuing opportunity to help provide data for the ongoing DNA research.

Surprised to learn

I was quite surprised to learn about my carrier status. I was tested during my pregnancy for genetic anomalies due to my age, this reassured me, now knowing what I’ve learned 23 & me identified, that prenatal genetics tests was not all inclusive. I am now armed with data to take to mine and my daughters physician to prevent this rare genetic condition from manifesting in future offspring!

Great product and many useful results. I love to participate in the various studies, many times it has been quite insightful and given me self-knowledge that I could not have gotten any other way. I feel/think everybody should do this, I was glad I did.

I like the combined information of genetic health risks and ancestry, not just ancestry. The limits of the testing are included with every report and updates to testing are available as the science improves.

My 23andME journey

With 23andMe seeing my ancestry composition was my 1st wave of interest and excitement. Then the DNA connections confirmed certain family links we knew verbally. But learning about my haplogroup group has been the most exciting part of my 23andme journey. A journey that I'm still on.

My Ancestry experience

I have had so far a great experience with 23andMe. It is fascinating to know that in this universe of group of people there are relatives with my same curiosity. I found multiple individuals that were connected to my family tree and others that were helpful as links to other branches of the tree. In general I recommend 23andMe and I am looking forward for more discoveries in my genealogy experience.
