Bad its not what I thought.its weird i know 1 or2 percent of a nation cant be traced regarding relatives

Engaging, but Slight Let Down

I was super excited to be getting the 23andMe kit, and everything processed okay. It was really cool to see what genes lined up with different ancestries. However, the main reason that I bought the kit was to see how much Native American blood was within me, and the results? None. I was 99.9% European, and .01% Unknown. I realize that that tiny percentage could be the Shawnee and Cherokee that my family talks about, but it was still a deflated balloon to find out that the small bit that wasn't European didn't even have a label.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Product

I received this as a gift for Christmas. The health and ancestry features were mostly correct to an extent where it had certain locations where they had assumed where my ancestors had lived and they were spot on. I’d really like if they could include more details on the dna groups they say your related to so you can immerse yourself in the history. The traits and features were most of the time right. I’d definitely say this is a product I recommend and I hope they can improve their technologies.

Results are suspect

I was purposely vague with my survey answers to test validity. My results stated I have .1% Native American, red or fair hair that was curly/wavy and I have fair skin. My grandfather on my dads sude and my grandmother on my moms side both come from Native American heritage. My hair is dark brown straight and I'm darker complexion than average.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
