My son purchased my kit and I was so pleased with the results I bought my daughter one, then my sister and my niece. Today I gave my nephew one.

My mom bought this for me a few months ago because she was adopted and we do not know anything about her biological family or their health concerns. I have a lot of health issues and was surprised to find carrier variants that I didn't know of. I was pleasantly surprised also that my DNA is tested with new genetic health risks that weren't available when we bought the test.

Much nonsense

After getting a DNA test through another company which had specific percentages and seemed to match my known heritage, I am very disappointed in this test results. It's filled with nonsense. Isn't specific to ethnic areas. Too scientific. A waste !

Thank you for your feedback. The population labels in Ancestry Composition refer to genetically similar groups, rather than nationalities. In general, we sought to make the populations as small as possible, subject to the constraint of being able to distinguish between them. Populations may be inherently difficult to distinguish because of historical mixing, or we might not have had enough data to tell them apart.

You can read about the population selection process in more detail in our Ancestry Composition Guide: https://www.23andme.com/ancestry-composition-guide/

While it is nice to know that you are not prone to one disease or other, you also get their disclaimer: "Our reports do not include all possible genetic variants that could affect these conditions. Other factors can also affect your risk of developing these conditions, including lifestyle, environment, and family history."
Meh!

I would love to be able to print these results. Would be much easier to compare to my tree(s) and I am not able to. Does anyone have any tricks to accomplishing this? Also the guidelines says to contact customer service does anyone know how to. I do have issues and this is getting old. And at this point no I would not recommend this site. Because of the above issues.

I purchased this product hoping to find out if I had more British or Irish roots, I didn't realize that they combined them both into one category...not happy.
