Truly a great experience

So this is truly been a great experience I decided to get 23andMe for my first time getting a DNA test I've always been curious to know exactly where my ancestry comes from I like 23andMe because they're very detailed about specific areas plus they give you a lot of options between specific areas where your family I've came from the story behind that even if your Netherland DNA other sites don't have that plus they have a really good help section and just even the colors the way everything looks it pops out and makes it seem fun and they're always updating it I can definitely say this is a great DNA test to get

I heard about 23andMe from a coworker back in 2013. They were so excited learning about their ancestry. I received the Health and Ancestry kit as an early Christmas present, (so I received my results by Christmas day) 2015. I like how they explain their methodology and traits you most likely do or don't have.
One other feature added, is the section to learn about the regions your ancestors came from.

I am so happy I got this for myself! I have always wondered where my family came from, and yes I checked EVERYTHING out and YES it was so correct! It is one of the best decisions I have ever made! The day my results came back I thought how could I read anything else?!? I studied it all and loved

ancestry.com is SO much better.
23 & me promises results in 3-4 weeks. They took almost 8 weeks and when i called I got someone where there was a language barrier, reading from a script and making excuses - EVERY TIME until zi was approaching week 7 and actually reached someone who cared about helping. I would never EVER work with this company.

Low specificity

I learned that most of my DNA is from Great Britain and Ireland. I wish there was more specificity regarding the countries in Great Britain from which my DNA originated, such as what percentage was Welsh British, Scottish and Irish.

My purpose of this was to see if I had a child out there that has done the 23andMe tests as well. Although I did find a lot of relatives that I didnt know. But its not an instant locator. I guess it was just wishful thinking for me. But I will still continue to use it as it has brought a lot of family back together

Prepare to wait and wait and wait

I took almost 3 months to get results. Once the results were in you are shown basic things about you on a generic level and if you want more, you will have to pay additional premiums.
Do not buy this kit if you want to feel good about spending over $100 especially when inflation is the worst.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
