Great Features

I'm glad I bought the product. There were a few surprises in my gnome. However you science got a few things wrong: My hair has small curls-not straight. I have freckles all over my body. My skin color is medium tan-not dark brown. I only drink one cup of caffeinated coffee a day-not more than that. The other data was pretty accurate.

Needs improvement

I brought it I guess hoping to have it better explained I didn't care about people 100 years ago looking for family now but it didn't really help and now I want to do the medical but won't let me order just medical
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My mother got one for her birthday and she liked it so much we all got one for christmas. It is really neat to see what matched between us. But more when we saw what was different.
Now I want to get my father one to see what I have from his dna.. father's day is close!

Don't buy the extra reports

The ancestry part of the report was great. The extra reports are not worth the money. I.e, 'You most likely have dark eyes' ,'You most likely don't have a cleft chin'. Really??

Easy to use

I bought several kits for my family for Christmas gifts. They were all happy to get them and had been wanting to get a kit. Everyone was excited. The directions are clear and easy to use. It was interesting getting our reports back and fun.

Only maternal side

I received this as a gift, but after all the surveys, it seems everything I wrote was repeated on my reports. We know nothing about my paternal grandfather. The information I included was from my mother's side and that was all that showed. I cannot believe nothing came from my father's side.
I still recommend 23 &Me to others because of all the detail but I have my doubts..
