Knowing my genealogy history of my family and that my great-great grandmother was full blood Cherokee Indian. It was a little disappointing and skeptical about my results that I received. It showed having less than.01% Native American.

Thank you for your feedback. Having Native American DNA is different from having Native American ancestry. We understand that the distinction between ancestry and DNA can cause confusion.
Your results from 23andMe can only show you what can be seen in your DNA. Native American DNA is often lost with time and with every generation and may not be revealed in testing such as ours. For example, it only takes a couple of generations from a full-blooded Native American to lose all trace of Native American DNA.
This does not mean that you do not have Native American ancestry or that your family heritage as passed down through the generations is incorrect.

Not knowing my background of who I am and where I came from because of my parents not being able to tell me I was truly hoping to find some answers from this test. In the end they test couldn't tell me either!! All I got was 29% Italian, I already knew that but what else am I? The test read broadly this & broadly that! I need more direct answers and I didn't get them with this test!!

Thank you for your feedback. Our Ancestry Composition report tells you what percent of your DNA comes from each of 31 populations worldwide. The analysis includes DNA you received from all of your ancestors, on both sides of your family. Some populations are inherently difficult to distinguish because of historical mixing, or we might not have had enough data to tell them apart. In these cases, your expected ancestry may actually be included in the broadly assigned ancestry for that region. The Broadly Assigned label is assigned when a piece of DNA can be found with some frequency in multiple regions.
Your results are a living analysis. Using thousands of reference individuals we are able to continually evolve and improve your results. As we update our reference data, it will not be uncommon to see slight shifts in your results over time.

A lot of information that reads like a textbook. It felt more like reading my horoscope, it was in such generalities what are the risks of it being wrong. I had my genealogy traced and there were specific conflicts. It left out an entire line of my heredity according to the report I had from the genealogist.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for your feedback. The data that we report is strictly genetic information regarding your genotype (e.g. the A’s, T’s, C’s, and G’s at particular locations in your genome), generated through processing of your saliva by 23andMe.
