Doesn't match my spouses known heritage. Mixed up samples?
Waste of money. Plus results are hard to decipher. And I am a medical professional.

Thank you for your feedback. We have quality assurance mechanisms that review your profile information and the data returned from your DNA analysis. If the profile sex you chose during registration does not match the genetic sex returned from the analysis of your saliva sample, you would have been notified.

I bought this hoping it would show me my mixture of heritage. All it said was mostly British Really let me down

Thank you for your feedback. The 23andMe Ancestry Composition feature tells you what percent of your DNA comes from each of 31 populations worldwide. This analysis includes DNA you received from all of your recent ancestors, on both sides of your family. The results reflect where your ancestors lived before the widespread migrations of the past few hundred years.
The population labels in Ancestry Composition refer to genetically similar groups, rather than nationalities. In general, we sought to make the populations as small as possible, subject to the constraint of being able to distinguish between them. Populations may be inherently difficult to distinguish because of historical mixing, or we might not have had enough data to tell them apart.

Thank you for your feedback. The 23andMe Health + Ancestry Service is the first and only genetic service available directly to you that includes reports that meet FDA standards. You now are able to receive 65+ reports on health, traits and ancestry instead of exclusively ancestry reports.
In addition, the 23andMe site has been redesigned, offering updated tools and features, better functionality, and new content.

We don't believe the result

I don't believe that my results are correct. Based on family tree research that we have done, and what I remember about my grandparents, the results just do not match.

I am so excited that I took the opportunity to buy this..It was worth every penny! Within days I have connected to a handful of distant cousins around the United states..Its amazing! I found out my DNA somethings I never knew about myself! And I love the health information too..its very helpful...Also I placed my daughter for adoption 18yrs ago and I hope she tries to find me and I can connect with her through 23andMe
I would recommend this to a friend!
