WOW !! REALLY WORKS!

I had no idea how or if this really could find relatives ! So simple to do, spitting in a vile and I found close relatives some I knew about others no idea! The reports are very detailed and information is given and explained so clearly great updates and basically one is guided through the whole process by extra information about how to use the reports. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the DNA or the health report and or both .
I would recommend this to a friend!

I've really enjoyed 23andme and this past month was able to finally figure out who my natural father was (from a closed adoption with no info). The new family tree generator and talking with other related members I was connected to on here did the trick. Truly amazing.

Dont waste your money

I regret buying this. The information they gave me contracted each other. I'm suppose to have this large amount of African but since i have neanderthal in me the African doesn't even count...that doesn't make sense. AND YES I DO SNEEZE WHEN I GET IN THE SUN HOW ARE THEY GOING TO TELL ME MY DNA SAYS I DON'T! IT LITERALLY SAID SOMETHING WAS WRONG WITH ME!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought the 23 & me kit, including the health portion, a couple years ago. The health portion was just okay to me. I would not have purchased the health section had I known it does not test for all variants. The rest of the test has been exciting. I've corresponded with unknown second cousins that have given pictures of my dad and grandparents to me. It has been an awesome experience and I would recommend it to anyone.

Are 23andme ancestry results accurate?

I have watched a few YouTube videos rating the various Genetic sources for accuracy.
We know they are estimates taken from their data-banks and are not absolutes.
I have investigated who my actual ancestors are from and compared my calculations to 23andme estimates on "where I come from." They track surprisingly close to what I have been able drag out of free sources. Generally they are off by just a few percentages. (Or I may be too)
Trying to figure out just what percentage I am from ancestors who arrived on our shores in the sixteen and seventeen hundreds then trying to keep track of dilution and back and forth marriages between German and British linage is an interesting exercise. I do wish The Scots and English were separate and not grouped as British.
This questionnaire asked why I bought the product. I didn't, it was a gift.

I got the product for Christmas last year and every time I come on I have more information! I learned where I was from which I did not even think of and I also learned if you trace back my DNA I am related to Charlamagne! I also learned that I have a variant for a diabetes which a relative has. Best DNA product out there!

Love The Accuracy

I have had this for 2 years now and the wealth of information and insight into my particular personality is amazing. I always look forward to updates that I receive very frequently and I always learn something new about myself.
The only thing I say that could be better and it's not 23 & Me's issue, is if people using the service could take time and answer all of the questions frequently and if they could reach out more to their potential matches then it would help more people. It's a user issue really. The DNA reports can also be uploaded to most genealogy sites and that makes results even more exciting.
Now if the DNA could provide a facial feature showing evolution of our looks from our first ancestor up to today then this would be worth $1000 but I took the $199 health package and now have a better understanding of my chances of having issues with my health later in life. Love 23 & Me!!
