Keep in mind that many traits are influenced by multiple factors. Traits may be influenced to varying degrees by genetics and the environment. Also, the findings may not be representative of all individuals.

I guess I was expecting more detail. I did not like having Irish and British put in same category. Also, although my printer works fine, I cannot get any reports from 23andme to print.

The Ancestry Composition results reflect where your ancestors lived before the widespread migrations of the past few hundred years. When people first arrived in the region now known as Great Britain, which includes England, Scotland and Wales, as well as the region of Ireland tens of thousands of years ago, these two regions were physically joined to one another. Today the people of these regions descend from Celtic, Saxon, and Viking ancestors.
You can now print optimized versions of all your 23andMe reports. To print your individual reports, log into your account, and look for the green "Print" button in the top right corner of any report.

I absolutely love 23 and me. The health reports are so insightful and interesting and have helped me learn more about myself than I ever thought possible. The ancestry reports are awesome! I wasn't surprised by my findings, as they were 100% spot on with what I already knew, but learning about my Maternal Haplogroup was so awesome!! I am hoping over time to connect with more relatives. I absolutely LOVE 23 and Me and all I have learned and am continuing to learn!

Helpful in giving me my raw data to research

I not only was interested in my ancestry but recieving my raw data as well so that I could find if I had any gene mutations. I do wish that MTHFR 03 P39P was included in the testing since they do all other mthfr testing. I was able to find out that I do in fact have MTHFR A1298C homozygous mutation so I do wonder about the state of MTHFR 03 P39P. I was interested for the results of the DNA test because I also have Hashimoto's and MTHFR genes are common for those with Hashimoto's. Over all I feel it was trying out 23 and me because there are many benefits to it besides just finding out your ancestry.

Alzheimer’s mutation

Overall this is a good product but I am still a bit miffed that they test for a very serious mutation for which nothing can be done. Brca is one thing. Alzheimer’s is another.
