Not what I thought

It took me three years to finally buy the 23 in me, and once I did, the app asked me for all these extra charges and purchases to get the information that it described in advertisements. I got the basic information and I do appreciate that information I didn’t know but now to find out health and all that I have to pay another 200 and something dollars like that’s ridiculous

My husband and I have used this and have been satisfied except that my brother (we have the same mother and father) is listed as my nephew. That is not possible.

your " research" isn't....you make assumptions from the questions you ask. And 9 times out of 10 you have been wrong.....I have inherited genetic health problems and you are looking for things no one has heard of....no help

Thank you for your feedback. The 23andMe Health + Ancestry Service provides both health and ancestry information in a single service for a single price and is the first and only genetic service available directly to you that includes reports that meet FDA standards. You receive 75+ personalized genetic reports to help you understand what your DNA says about your health, traits and ancestry.
You can preview a full list of available reports here: https://www.23andme.com/dna-health-ancestry/
The Trait reports provide your likelihood of having certain characteristics. You can learn how your DNA affects your hair color, taste preferences and more.
While many traits are highly influenced by genetics, there are other non-genetic factors that affect the expression of certain traits.
To learn more about a trait, navigate to the result of interest and scroll to the About section. This section will tell you the description, biology, and non-genetic factors that are associated with the feature.

I am enjoying the updates as we go and determining where my ancestors would have been within the last 200 years. I am noticing some inconsistencies amount connections (it doesn't identify Switzerland for me but it does for my father & grand mother. It doesn't include France for me but, it does for my mother) seems like it would be nice it if reviewed & linked family members based on their connections somehow.

TOO HARD TO USE!

This Kit is NOT for the typical layman to use. It is very very complex and unless your ancestors have purchased from the same company they don't show up. I have over 900 ancestors (all 2nd 3rd or 4th cousin's) and can't reach ONE of them. Don't plan on making a family tree using this product. And I wanted to know if my cancer was genetic. HA! You need to be a doctor to figure out this jibberish!

Not one change on any of my reports or my DNA "relatives"...not one after at least 2 years or more. What good is this? Is it really possible in all of the world, not one other "DNA relative" has test through 23andme?

Thank you for your feedback. One of the features included in our service is called DNA Relatives. DNA Relatives locates other 23andMe members that match your DNA. This feature estimates a predicted relationship and range using the length and number of segments and percent DNA shared. When two people share identical segments of DNA, this indicates that they share a recent common ancestor.
Unlike other genetic genealogy services that identify relationships on only the direct paternal or maternal lines, DNA Relatives can identify relationships on any branch of your family tree. It does this by taking advantage of the autosomal chromosomes—the 22 chromosomes that are passed down from your ancestors on both sides of your family.
Keep in mind that the number of relatives will vary for each person and will grow over time as more people join 23andMe.
