23andMe hits the bullseye for me, because results are so very specific, and easy to understand, unlike The Other One..

nasty surprise

MY entire life was a lie,I hated a man that did not deserve my anger growing up for abandoning me. Turns out the man even my MOTHER believed to be my father wasn't and a man whose name I never ever oncer heard is. and when I contacted him it took him my mom and his wife to figure out when my mom and him had what turned out to be a week long flying she had completely forgot about. however that raised a whole new limb with lots of branches to my family tree. I recommend this test for every last person on Earth my reasoning is roughly 1/3 of children are fathered by a man other than the man they believe is thier father. I AM ONE. the clarity and many issues in my life are seen in new light now. BTW I was rejected by my biological father as well as the man that I believed was.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What the point I'm not finding my real ancestors plus you want more money to show my recent ancestors a waste of my money finding distant ancestors

Half siblings?

For the longest time, I would occassionally look at my DNA relatives without any anxiety... curiosity, I guess! Recently, I looked at this same list and discovered that my siblings are Half. It never said Half in the past. If it had, I could have asked my older brother or a relative. Now I can't they have all past on.... Can you imagine finding out your dad who you dearly love is not your dad and your siblings are half/ I am 73 years old. It's devastating for me and my family too.
