I got my results July 31, 2017. Overall, I am satisfied. However, I am slightly disappointed with the Trait results. Half of my known, or visible, traits are incorrect. Lactose Intolerance (I AM!); Deep Sleeper (Yes); Back Hair (Yes!); Bald Spot (Yes); Male Hair Loss (Yes); Sneeze Reflex (Yes); Red Hair (When I had hair- it was strawberry & both of my children have Red hair); Cleft Chin (Yes); Earlobe Type (Attached). I am also dissatisfied with the way my genetic results were reported. Six population categories and unassigned are used. In my report, I am 99.7 European-and 0.3 African, <0.1 Oceanian, and <0.1 Asian/Native American. That total is >100! I feel the remaining 0.3 is negligible. For general public uses, and to account for any standard measurement errors, it would be more meaningful to show <1% in ALL population categories with results of 0.0% - 0.9%
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this product with the intention of learning more about my health, but I was also interested in my ancestry. The reports I have read so far have been very interesting and insightful and I really like the fact that I have the possibility to connect with my DNA relatives. I have learned a lot from this!

I got this service for my birthday,I'm glad I got to find out my ancestry and its composition and my maternal and paternal haplogroups as well.

Thank you 23& Me. You were a game changer! My husband and I left Chicago, IL where both our families have lived for generations for work in Northern Wisconsin. But, thanks to you, we came to realize that we just moved closer to family we didn't know we had. My favorite new assistant Sarah turned out to be my cousin! And, I turned out to be 3-4th cousins to my new friend Jody and HER only known biological relative as she was adopted back in '52! We now have lots of family within 5 to 30 minutes of us to spend special occasions and holidays with and our kids are still growing up around family.
I would recommend this to a friend!

GOOD PRODUCT

I originally purchased the kit to learn more about my ancestry and find relatives, info on biological family etc. But when I first received the results, I found the medical/health info very interesting and helpful. However, now I am having trouble accessing all the results i originally saw. I would appreciate assistance in finding this info.
One complaint is that often matches do not wish to communicate, or help in determining the common ancestor, which is part of the benefit of the testing.... to assist with genealogy, etc. Several of my matches that have contacted me were adopted, so it has been challenging at best determining our connection, or helping them find answers. But I have and would continue to recommend this product to people... as a matter of fact, my grandson is very intrigued and as he has no info on his paternal side, he is very anxious to get a kit for himself, which i want to do when/if the price comes down or a special with both the ancestry/health info is offered.

Bought to get some information on my genetics. Definitely received that. They certainly aren't at a level that can magicly inform you with 100% accuracy everything about you, but compared to 100 years ago people probably never dreamed of being able to do things like this(everyday people not scientists). It is a good product for the price.
