Thank you 23& Me. You were a game changer! My husband and I left Chicago, IL where both our families have lived for generations for work in Northern Wisconsin. But, thanks to you, we came to realize that we just moved closer to family we didn't know we had. My favorite new assistant Sarah turned out to be my cousin! And, I turned out to be 3-4th cousins to my new friend Jody and HER only known biological relative as she was adopted back in '52! We now have lots of family within 5 to 30 minutes of us to spend special occasions and holidays with and our kids are still growing up around family.

GOOD PRODUCT

I originally purchased the kit to learn more about my ancestry and find relatives, info on biological family etc. But when I first received the results, I found the medical/health info very interesting and helpful. However, now I am having trouble accessing all the results i originally saw. I would appreciate assistance in finding this info.
One complaint is that often matches do not wish to communicate, or help in determining the common ancestor, which is part of the benefit of the testing.... to assist with genealogy, etc. Several of my matches that have contacted me were adopted, so it has been challenging at best determining our connection, or helping them find answers. But I have and would continue to recommend this product to people... as a matter of fact, my grandson is very intrigued and as he has no info on his paternal side, he is very anxious to get a kit for himself, which i want to do when/if the price comes down or a special with both the ancestry/health info is offered.

Bought to get some information on my genetics. Definitely received that. They certainly aren't at a level that can magicly inform you with 100% accuracy everything about you, but compared to 100 years ago people probably never dreamed of being able to do things like this(everyday people not scientists). It is a good product for the price.

It's been almost a year since i've completed the health, and ancestry tests. The information I have received since has been life changing. Not just in terms of my ancestry, and health. The entire genetic story that is being told. I have met cousins, and other relatives I had absolutely no clue existed. We have mapped our common ancestor back to the first known King of scotland! Seriously awesome information. Not even mentioning the ground breaking research geneticists, and other scientists are making daily. Our lives, history, and future is all linked to each other. Ordering, and completing these tests are the first step a person should take in order to evolve. Especially considering how early we are in the infancy of this information technological era. Thank you 23andme and everyone else for supplying such a product that was not only affordable, but afforded me knowledge and information that is worth more than money can ever buy.

An answer to many questions

The test is simple, the updates are easy to find, and the explanation of the results are very informative. My results helped to clarify many family beliefs and clear up a lot of "tall tails." Being able to reach out to new found family members has helped us share photos of shared ancestors we've never seen or knew of before now.
