Not happy!

About this two months ago and I'm not happy with the results not enough detailed information as to where I am from toothache just telling me most likely I'm from this area not good enough I need to know where I'm from
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for your feedback. The population labels in Ancestry Composition refer to genetically similar groups, rather than nationalities. In general, we sought to make the populations as small as possible, subject to the constraint of being able to distinguish between them. Populations may be inherently difficult to distinguish because of historical mixing, or we might not have had enough data to tell them apart.

One nationality was never mentioned in my DNA, which makes me doubt the accuracy. Also received my husband's report and they were almost identical.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I haven't been this excited in I don't know when. I hope I'm able to help one of my second cousins that was adopted at birth find her family and the special thing about 23andMe is that by accepting her invitation I already know that it's on my mother's side. On the other hand, if you don't want to know what kind of ghost may be hidden in the closet then this might not be for you. I did the health part as well so it's good to know that I have none of the variants for the diseases tested, that I could have been a power elite athlete and that I'm predisposed to be on the heavy side. It also suggests how I should be eating so I'm trying that just to see what may happen.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I am adopted so I have always been curious about my ethnicity. I bought this for myself as a birthday present & couldn't be happier! I got the kit at my office and it was SUPER easy to use. It comes with step by step instructions and tips on how to get a good sample. I loved the packaging (I am a sucker for cute boxes) and think it's genius that the box it comes in is also the box you turn around and mail it back int! It is fool proof. I registered my kit and downloaded the app on my phone. Mine took exactly 8 weeks which is what I was expecting based on the FAQ (which is also EXTREMELY helpful) I love how with the app and on 23andme.com it shows you the process and you can see tutorials on what is happening. It's up to date & I loved seeing the progression! Once my reports were ready I got an email letting me know and giving me a link to my reports. It was AMAZING! I had no idea what to expect, but the reports and super detailed and easy to read. They explain each section and show you how you compare to the other 23andme customers which is interesting. I would highly recommend this to anyone. It is simple to use and is VERY detailed. I also love how they have agents ready anytime you have a question. I still check the app everyday and show anyone who will take the time to indulge me and have a look!

If you know your family tree, you may not be surprised. But, I bet you didn't know your brothers and sisters can end up with quite different results than you. It would be fun for siblings to all do it together and see which of you inherited which genes from your ancestors. There is a reason brothers and sisters may not look or act alike even though they have the same ancestors, each inherits different genes in clusters from their various ancestors. What did you inherit? Who has more genes from a father than mother, or grandmother than grandfather? Find out.

I was pleased with 23andMe's process from beginning to end. The kit arrived promptly; it was easy and straightforward to produce and mail back my sample. You will have to accept that the turnaround on getting your reports is usually about 4-6 weeks, but I knew this going in so I was not disappointed. If anything, it made getting my results a lot more fun!
They do a fantastic job of employing beautiful, user-friend, interactive graphics to display and explain the results of your DNA analysis. This is especially helpful if you have agreed to share your DNA information with other DNA relatives on 23andMe, because you can see things like 1) How many DNA relatives reside in certain states/countries (for the sake of privacy, it doesn't tell you who, it just tells you how many), 2) What part of your DNA you share with a particular DNA relative, 3) Your DNA relatives' ancestral backgrounds, including ones you do not share, to give you an idea of the diverse ancestry of your fellow DNA relatives.
