Finding family

Two years ago I found an older Brother. In February of last year I found another older brother. Same birth mom and dad. They are both marred and have kids. My twin sister and I have a bigger family now.

I have always wanted to do 23 and me but never had the money to do it. But when a study from this came up about learning more about your health I was thrilled to do it for free. I had a chance to know who Iam but most importantly I learned of the diseases that I need to look out for in the near future. I truly would recommend anyone to take this test.

I am so glad that I received 23and me as a gift. I knew where some of my ancestors came from, though I didn't know many in person. Now I know how many countries my relatives came from originally. 12 and me has shown me that.

Very Good for What It Is

I received 23andMe as a gift from my daughter. My favorite part was ancestry nationality. I always suspected that I had some middle-eastern/north-african genes, and now I know that I do! It is fun to know my genes are 2% neanderthal. It is reassuring to know that I am not genetically predisposed to the diseases tested for by 23andMe, though these genes are admittedly few. The earwax stuff, etc, is fun.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It took awhile for the results to come back but once they did I was blown away by the level of detail. Absolutely worth the wait!

Ive learned nothing! Waist of money.

I have just gotten my anticipated report and its very underwhelming. Is this all that there is to it????? Thats it???
I have learned nothing!!!! In fact the report is wrong, Im have been underweight all my life and the repost suggests that I have tendency to gain weight. I need years to gain like 5 lb. I have never been lactose intolerant, the repost suggest otherwise. I consume less caffeine according to the report,well - I consume a lot of caffeine! According to the report Im a deep sleeper- ha ha ha I wish!!!! Wrong, wrong, wrong!!!!! Im 80% eastern european? I didn't need a fancy DNA test telling me that, both my parents are! What a waste of money!!!! Unbelievable.

These reports do not take into account personal or family history or your lifestyle or environment. Therefore, it is not uncommon that the overall trait prediction will differ from your personal experience or family history.
The population labels in Ancestry Composition refer to genetically similar groups, rather than nationalities. In general, we sought to make the populations as small as possible, subject to the constraint of being able to distinguish between them.
Your results are a living analysis. Using thousands of reference individuals we are able to continually evolve and improve your results. As we update our reference data, it will not be uncommon to see slight shifts in your results over time.
