I bought this 3 years ago and have learned so much about my family background and have met a bunch of relatives I never knew existed. And I love that I can help the research team make discoveries about general health and ancestry, by participating in research projects and answering survey questions.

My puzzle piece has been found

My entire life I've been looking for my biological father with 5 men tested I was getting to where I thought it would be impossible . no name no idea what he looked like or anything.I did 23 and me found a first cousin and lead to me flying to WV from FL to meet the family I have so deeply longed for. Thank you 23 and me without you this would of never been possible!

Recently Found A Sister I Never Knew I Had

I ordered a 23andMe kit just to find out about my ancestry and found out so much more. While checking the "DNA relatives" area of the site, I found out that another 23andMe customer was showing as a DNA match to me and that 23andMe predicted we were brother and sister -- with the same mother and father! How could this be? I knew my 1 brother and 1 sister growing up with our parents, how could I have another sister and not know she existed. I got in touch with her and found out that she was put up for adoption right after being born. A sister, out there, for over 60 years and me and my oldest sister didn't even know she existed. We're in touch know and looking to "catch-up" as they say. Thank you, 23andMe and thank you, Science! -Keith

I'm 74 years old, adopted and had no information. Through 23&Me I have found two half sisters who have warmly welcomed me to the family, introduced me to others.We share a common father whom I look like and my 40 year old son has 4 cousins, one of whom he looks like. I am so grateful for 23&Me for filling in the holes in my life.

I love this program because my father was a sp*rm donor back in the late eighties and early nineties. Between Ancestry DNA and 23&Me I've been able to connect with not only my father and grandparents but about 15 half siblings. It has been life changing. (Sorry for the * - the website says the word is a profanity lol)

FOUND MY AMAZING FAMILY

My son bought me the kit for Xmas and I mainly wanted the health info because I’m adopted. Well I ended up finding an entire family, 4 siblings that I know of, I’ve met 3 of them. They had a huge party for me and the amount of other family members was astonishing!! My biological father was married ten times!!! You can’t make this up!! Anyway we have all bonded, I can’t imagine my life without them and since I found them through 23&Me many of them have taken the test so it’s a blast seeing people I genuinely share DNA with, I haven’t had that my entire life!!! BEST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE BY FAR!!!!! Thank you 23&Me❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I was able to help a relative that was adopted at 7 months old, find his biological mother on 23andme over 45 years later in life, what a gift! Soon after finding his mother, he found his father. What a wonderful tool you have developed 23andme to be able to reunite families!

23andMe Has changed my life!

I was adopted at birth but I located some biological family members a few years back. However my birth mom didn't seem to know much about her biological father. There also seemed to be some things that she was reluctant to tell me. That's why I ordered the 23and Me's DNA test and health and wellness portion too. I was raised in a predominantly African American family. I also grew up and was surrounded by other relatives and friends of other ethnicities. When I got my DNA results back I was astonished to find out that I had 22% Ashkenazi Jewish blood. I would have never anticipated this!. I also found out that I had French and German DNA, British and Irish DNA, Iberian DNA and a host of a few others. I am truly a melting pot of cultures. I finally can answer when people ask me What are you? Now I can say without a doubt. I feel like I have more confidence in myself and I have the courage to accomplish my dreams of finishing my graduate studies in International Affairs and carrying out my dreams. I want to travel the world to explore the countries of my ancestry especially to Israel. I have been learning about Jewish culture, history and learning about my people. I know now that I am descended from a long line of strong, courageous, and God loving people. Thank you 23andMe for giving me hope for the future. God bless you!
