Very disappointed

I have always been curious what my heritage is being from a very mixed family. The test results were very hard to read and interpret and I am now having to do more research just to be able to read them and figure it out..... I thought that was what I was paying for..... extremely disappointing and not impressed with 23 and me

Thank you for your feedback. The 23andMe Health + Ancestry Service is the first and only genetic service available directly to you that includes reports that meet FDA standards. You now are able to receive 75+ reports on health, traits and ancestry instead of exclusively ancestry reports.

Thank you for your feedback. Our Ancestry Composition report will tell you what percent of your DNA comes from each of 31 populations worldwide. The analysis includes DNA you received from all of your ancestors, on both sides of your family. The results reflect where your ancestors lived 500 years ago, before the advent of intercontinental travel. The population labels in Ancestry Composition refer to genetically similar groups, rather than nationalities.

Was Not What We Thought

Very disappointed....not what we expected to be receiving....We thought it was ancestry and health....Plus, I prefer something in the mail....not this reading on the internet....It was a waste of money for us..

Although the ads suggest interesting findings, be prepared for no surprises. There is not enough granularity in the results to be interesting if you're just "generally northwestern European.

The population labels in Ancestry Composition refer to genetically similar groups, rather than nationalities. In general, we sought to make the populations as small as possible, subject to the constraint of being able to distinguish between them. Populations may be inherently difficult to distinguish because of historical mixing, or we might not have had enough data to tell them apart.
