Finding relatives is a joke

They only show 3rd cousins or further relation then try to get you to pay even more with no guarantee of showing close relatives such as parent, child, siblings. Literally it was a joke

Not worth the money

I bought this a month a ago. I was under the impression that it would help.me understand my 14 incurable diseases. Instead it told me nothing and everything was inaccurate from being to end. I even had a person contact me about being a relative and he was definitely not in my ancestry. Waster of money.

DNA Match

When I submitted my 23andme DNA sample, I only expected to match and locate some unknown ancestors in the USA. I never even dream of a match with someone from Africa. Well that is just what happened. I now have a match through my maternal line with family in Ghana. We have been Texting, Messaging and Talking. I plan to visit my Ghanaian family for the GATHERING at Easter 2019. We have exchanged pictures and also discovered that even after all these years of separation our families mirror each other in education and professionals. We understand that the DNA is stronger than the century of separation. We plan to rejoice with each other and reconnect in 2019.

Very disappointed. Seems more like an outline than informational. You have to keep jumping through hoops. I've yet to see any DNA matches.

Thank you for your feedback. One of the features included in our service is called DNA Relatives. DNA Relatives locates other 23andMe members that match your DNA. This feature estimates a predicted relationship and range using the length and number of segments and percent DNA shared. When two people share identical segments of DNA, this indicates that they share a recent common ancestor.
Unlike other genetic genealogy services that identify relationships on only the direct paternal or maternal lines, DNA Relatives can identify relationships on any branch of your family tree. It does this by taking advantage of the autosomal chromosomes—the 22 chromosomes that are passed down from your ancestors on both sides of your family.
Keep in mind that the number of relatives will vary for each person and will grow over time as more people join 23andMe.

23 and Me Health is a Lifesaver!

My boyfriend bought me the Health and Ancestry Service kit for Valentine's Day, due to numerous health issues I was having. I am so glad he did! It showed that I had two of the genes for Hereditary Hemochromatosis. I showed my Oncologist and she had me tested further to confirm the diagnosis. I had every symptom of HH and no one had ever tested me. I'm 53 and already have some damage from HH but hopefully, this new diagnosis will prevent any more damage and allow me to live much longer. Thanks so much 23 and Me!

If budget permits purchase the upgraded package(s) offered. Going deeper than ancestry and learn about potential health risks. Just the full year membership for access to countless health reports is worth the cost. And purchase more than one kit for yourself. Purchase kits for family members. The time my wife and me have spent sharing our results have led to countless hours of enjoyment. You'll be glad you did.
