Surprised results

My genetic makeup was a super surprise because all my life I was told my paternal grandmother was half Indian, so much for that, I have next to no Indian blood!

My twin sister and I hadn't known if we were fraternal or identical for 43 years due to a mixup of some sort at birth. Thanks 23andme for confirming what our hearts already knew....IDENTICAL! :)

Waste of $$

The information provided is not worth the expense- at all. " people with your genetic make up typically have detached earlobes, a longer ring finger than pointer finger,", etc., etc. total waste of money.
The worst part of it is now my inbox is bombarded with emails asking me to "connect" with other family members - BY GETTING THEM TO SIGN UP. I was adopted ( little to no family history) and I don't even think the information given was worth the time or money!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for your feedback. The 23andMe Health + Ancestry Service is the first and only genetic service available directly to you that includes reports that meet FDA standards. You now are able to receive 65+ reports on health, traits and ancestry instead of exclusively ancestry reports.

Fast Test Response - Convoluted Results

The shipment of the kit and the test result response was very fast. The results are convoluted and confusing at best. I am not sure what someone is supposed to do with these results except talk to a (expensive) practitioner who deals with this type of genetic testing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I paid $200 to find out how I could use information on my DNA to optimize my health -- instead I got vague information on heredity.

You receive 65+ personalized genetic reports to help you understand what your DNA says about your health, traits and ancestry.
Keep in mind that each health, trait and wellness report includes a Scientific Details tab that includes more detailed information.

Quick and Easy!

I was not prepared for my results. My sister and I went our entire lives thinking we were fraternal twins. Turns out we are identical twins and we would have never known that if not for 23andme. We are still in shock!!!!
