Lots of inaccuracies that lead you astray while trying to put together your family tree.

Thanks to 23andme I have found my blood family. I was adopted and didnt know anything about them but I always wanted to and after 42 years I'm so happy to say I have my brother,sister, and I now know my biological father. Thank you 23andme!!!!!

I wanted to know where I came from. My ancestors from Africa. Never in my wildest dreams, did I think I had a unknown sister. Through 23 and Me she found me. We have the same father. She was adopted and no one knew about her. I recently connected with her. We are both over joyed with getting to know each other.

What a surprise !

I discovered that I was 72 % French and German from the Drouin ancestors , who came from Germany . In Germany they had the name Droen and they changed it to
Drouin, once in France .
Drouin, once in France .

The last update gave me and a couple of friends west asian and north african. Just really off and not supported by our paper trails.

Loved it! just wish processing was faster

I bought this a month ago, at 22 years old, not knowing any of my ancestry as my dad did not stick around and my mom had no clue really at all. Coming from a broken family it was really a mystery until I g it my results. Super happy to be able to tell my children their heritage! Also to be able to learn more about myself and where my family actually came from. Purchased one for my mother so I can see what comes from her side as she doesn’t know either and was surprised by my results.

This has been an enjoyable experience

I know very little about most of my extended family and where we all came from. I had assumptions about some of our ancestral origins, but wanted the full picture. When I got my results back on my ancecestry analysis, I was surpised to find I was mistaken about what I thought, and was delighted to see more than I had guessed.
However, beyond just getting to learn about my ancestral make-up It has been fun seeing how it has shifted sicne more information is obtained by 23andMe) I got to participate in the DNA Relatives feature, where I got to connect with relatives I didn't know I had! It led to being able to fill in some of the lost knowlege of my family.
I would recommend this to a friend!
