This test connected me to my father!

I can’t go without thanking 23andMe for giving me this once in a lifetime opportunity. Not only did I learn things about my ancestry that I never knew, but thanks to DNA relatives, I was connected to a first cousin I never knew on my dad’s side. It was my dad’s brother’s daughter, and I was able to talk with her, which lead her to talking to her father, which lead her father to connect my dad to me! After 22 years, I’ve finally got in touch with my dad I lost connection with. So once again, I am truly grateful for this experience!

23andMe is fascinating!

I purchased my 23andMe kit and got one for my sister. The info I have learned about myself is amazing. I really like the fact, that 23andMe constantly updates their findings as the science advances. I have also called 23andMe for information and they are always helpful and responsive. It is particularly enjoyable to find known relatives in the 23andMe system- as well as new, unknown relatives. If you are interested in your family history, you've got to get a 23andMe DNA kit. It's easy to find (Best Buy has them) and easy to use. The postage is already paid. All you have to do is spit into the included plastic vial, register your saliva sample, then drop it in a mail box. The results are processed quite soon and you can view your 23andMe account whenever you wish. 23andMe customer support is excellent. You can call or email them for answers to your questions. 23andMe customers are in total control as to how much information they wish to share or find out. If ALL you want to do is find out about your roots, you can do that. If you wish to explore all of the other wonderful features that 23andMe has to offer, you can do that too. You'll love it!

New family

About a month or so ago I bought 23 and me. Today I'm sitting here with two brothers i never knew i had, and at 45 years old, i met my real mother. It's unbelievable and life changing. Also found out exactly where my blood comes from. I couldn't be happier.

I found a brother! Greg! All the stories I ever heard as a child, true. More than true! I am the bloodline of kings. 23andme has opened up more than 1400 relatives for me, and counting! I'm a Blue Blooded American, Jamestown! I am the direct line of Naia of the Yucatan. I hold more Neanderthal traits than 90% of 23andme clients. We have since learned Neanderthal was a sea faring people. You may never know who you really are, or the journey that forefathers have taken. You can take the very first step that may lead you on a journey through the eons. An adventure through time. Plus the health disclosures of benefits and potential risk factors. 23andme is very economical and the data and application is very self explaining. If I can do it, so can you.

Connecting With The Past

I received the gift of 23 and Me for Christmas this year from my Daughter. What a wonderful world it has opened up for me! My father was adopted at birth and we never knew anything about his biological family. 23 and Me changed that. I have found out he has two siblings and am currently reaching out to their grand-kids to try to discover more about my Dad. Thanks for allowing me this opportunity!

Wonderful supplement to genealogical research

I had done a significant amount of genealogical research (with help!) and found a lot of relatives long since passed. Surprisingly more difficult has been finding and identifying LIVING, distantly related people. The DNA Relatives feature has — to some degree — removed the chore from that task! I got a list of 23 and Me members who are related to me, and all I had to do was reach out to them and, together, we connected the dots!

within an hour of receiving my results i located my sister and older brother. I was in an orphanage as a baby. Now i have 7 brothers and sisters and know much of my family history. I've even gone and met most of the family i never knew i had. This test changed my life.

Amazing experience! Found my Father! Also my result gave me exact locations where my ancestors came from. It's truly unbelievable! Highly recommended for finding people with European routs.
