I find 23andMe to be very interesting! I love seeing more and more relatives popping up as they join. The one thing I’d like to be able to do is fill in the names of my relatives on the family tree. For example, my grandparents, parents and aunts and uncles are all deceased & cannot join 23andMe. I think it would be a very helpful cross reference tool. Thanks for listening!

After 48 years of not knowing I found out who my father is! I also found 2 half sisters! None of it would of been possible without 23andme!

It is the real deal!

When I first started this, I was overwhelmed by the many connections. I had reservations that this was real. However, when I started talking to other family members and asking who these people were on 23andMe, I found a whole story of our family I knew nothing about. So when I found my missing sisters Daughter and Granddaughter I was able to dive in with open arms, knowing this is real. My Sister is still missing and has been since 1976 but there is a beautiful lady that she gave up for adoption that I have found. For that I am forever grateful to 23andMe. After 42 years of searches and heartache, I am alive again! I am hopeful. What ever happened to my Sister will be found. I have no doubt of that now.

Good start

This was a gift to me from my children. It was a thrill to get confirmation on what I was told all my life. It was very accurate. The one disappointment, is that you have to pay more to find out the health info, which one would normally assume would be included. My kids paid a lot, for not much info, in my opinion. I am happy to share info to help others, but it would be a wonderful and fair incentive to exchange the health info, for answering research questions. I still would recommend doing this, either through 23andme or another type, but only at a discounted rate for such little info provided.

Thank you for your feedback. As new 23andMe members join that match your DNA, they will be automatically added to your DNA Relatives list. Keep in mind that DNA Relatives is only able to locate other individuals who have been genotyped by 23andMe, and who have opted in to the feature.

I found myself a new dad! Best surprise of my lif

I took the 23andme test almost 2 years ago. I didn’t recognize a few matches, but just figured that it was because my dad didn’t know or keep in touch with most of his family. I sent some messages to my matches and figured out that the man (I wasn’t raised by) that we thought was my father wasn’t. I know it sounds terrible, but it wasn’t awful news to me. I was able to make contact with my birth father and his family and we’ve had a relationship ever since. Best surprise of my life. My birth father is an amazing man and so is his family. Very loving.

Found what I was looking for

I was thrilled to find the info I was looking for on the first day I received my results. Was able to connect with unknown family members immediately. Cant say much more than I am happy with what happened and hope my DNA doesn't implicate me in the future when I go rogue
