GOOD LUCK NAVIGATING SITE

At first I was excited to explore my DNA good luck trying to navigate the site and connect. Way over complicated way to confusing to try to even figure the site out. My jounery ended with my results. Who ever made this site def over thought it. Maybe a button to find relives like a flow chart to follow at a glance or some easier way to manage connections. Cant even figure this site out and they keep asking me to upgrade for something that 23 and me does not even make easy to explore. 23 make it easy for the rest of the people or I predict failure.

Why don't you include siblings in the shared DNA list?

I purchased a couple months ago, I was excited to find out about my ancestry and background. Very informative and split off in sections that makes it easy to find info. I also enjoy the surveys and being able to contribute to research.

Needs Work Overall

Although there is much information based on scientific data, my results have changed over the last months, deleting and changing percentages, populations and even countries of origin. They need to be more accurate than this for the cost.

Not so specific

I was incredibly disappointed in the results. I appreciate that this DNA testing service offers a lot of information on your health and the specifics of your genes (what your paternal/maternal haplogroups are etc.) BUT I'm really upset that it's so Eurocentric. It's able to distinguish the ancestry of individuals from Poland, France, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands and yet it literally categorizes Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Nepal, and Bhutan into ONE region -- "Broadly South Asian." Moreover, a lot of the other services just don't pertain to me since I'm "100% Broadly South Asian" and there's nothing else I can do with that information. Super disappointing, was not worth the money.

Thank you for your feedback. Ancestry Composition previously assigned results based on your genetic similarity to our 31 population labels and 121 recent ancestor locations. As a result of a new population update we recently released, Ancestry Composition will be comparing your results to a total of 160 regions worldwide, now including 13 total populations in the Sub-Saharan African region and 14 total populations in the East Asian region.
Your results reflect the most up-to-date results available at this time. Ancestry Composition is a living analysis, and customers should expect the results to continue to update as we make changes to the feature.
You can learn more about this population update on our blog here: https://blog.23andme.com/ancestry/new-african-east-asian-details-in-23andmes-latest-ancestry-composition-update/

This whole process has been enlightening. I now have DNA proof of who I am related to on my biological fathers side. On the down side they don't want to know anything about me..which is ok. They are just learning I exist and I am 67 years old. The health report is reassuring as well. Knowing health issues that will help my children in the future.

I like some of the questions they ask. Makes me consider things I hadn't considered. Good mental exercise.

DNA varient

I have the ABCC11 varient and it was not mentioned that Native Americans also have this varient. I have traced my ancestry at another site and found that my 7th great grandmother was Cherokee. I must have gotten this trait from her.
