While there is a short ethnicity questionnaire that is associated with your profile information, these answers are not used to generate your ancestry results.

The data that we report is strictly genetic information regarding your genotype (e.g. the A’s, T’s, C’s, and G’s at particular locations in your genome), generated through the processing of your saliva by 23andMe. Participation in surveys is completely voluntary. Choosing not to participate will not affect your genetic data.

We provide you with one of the most detailed ancestry composition reports on the market today. You can find out about your ancestral origins, what percent of your DNA comes from populations around the world, your maternal and paternal lines and your neanderthal percentage.

To print your individual reports, log into your account, and look for the green "Print" button in the top right corner of any report. To print the Report Summary, navigate to the "All Reports" page in your account and click the green "Report Summary" button in the top right corner of your list of reports.
