Genetic testing is awesome!

I'm very happy I signed with 23andMe. Knowledge about oneself is invaluable. A minor issue I have is with the way questions are sometimes written. One such was something to the effect of "do you take a multi-vitamin most days". I skipped it because I don't take a multi-vitamin but do take all the necessary vitamins. Thus, like other questions, I was not sure how to answer it. You should have a proofreader, like my spouse, read over your questions and make suggestions or corrections. (just like in the question below - When I purchased, was I interested in health, ancestry or other? Why not both? That would be a more correct answer. I answered other instead of the missing both. And then there's the Nickname. What on earth are you asking for here. An explanation might help.

This is a very fun product and I'm still going back to my reports to read more and just the other day I gained some new reports from research they had done. I highly recommend it for anyone trying to learn more about themselves and their ancestry.

Excellent science; good website for after testing

I have always believed in spending extra for one-of-a-kind purchases because it's almost always worth it — and 23andme's DNA testing is no exception! I just talked to my cousin and he didn't get much info from his ancestry testing from another vender. 23andme's website is a necessity as well as a joy. It asks clients for more information for 23andme's research purposes, and it supplies lots and lots of detailed information that is personally applicable to individual clients. It is a tremendous return for a client's one-time investment.
I will say, though, that the website is so extensive that I have glanced at some info related to my DNA (that I'm related to one of "the Nine of Niull" (spelling?), or something like that ) that I have not been able to find again, and thus, have not been able to read it more solidly. I also spelled a relative's name incorrectly, but I don't know how to go back and fix it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

23andMe was the third company I tested with and their ethnicity results matched or were similar to other companies, until recently. Others have changed but 23andMe results have remained the same (as also NatGeno2.0). I trust 23andMe as having the most accurate results.
I have contributed to the health research and those results have helped me understand what and how my health is like now. I can take precautions and see what are the genetics of some characteristics.
I recommend 23andMe as a must for any and every genetic genealogist.

Ancestry and more!

I bought this test a year ago mainly to find out my ancestry, possible lost relatives, and other undiscovered ethnicities. I can say, I'm very pleased so far with my results and 23andme's overall dedication towards their customers. The best thing about this company is that they continue to improve and update me on all sorts of things ranging from health carrier reports to haplogroup migration patterns. It's really amazing and insightful to discover such things about yourself. Kudos to the 23andme team! I'm looking forward to more research questions and findings!

I am very Pleased I had noticed several health patterns and Doctors had no idea why I was an anomaly Now I know I feel more respect should be shown to 23andMe than some doctors show The test backed up doctors and a family history Thank you very Much

My ancestry results were as expected, but it was still really cool to see the specific percentages. I was very excited to see my health related results, and to see my 1,000+ relatives I never even knew existed before 23andme.
