Ancestry Composition report gave me info I hadn't previously known. I also found out I'm a carrier for a disorder I'd never have thought about otherwise. Great test all in all!

Never realized how much information can be determined by a simple saliva sample. When I first discovered this service, I was a bit unsure, as I was certain about my ancestry. However, my wife participated in the investigation of her ancestry and convinced me to try it. Although I was not surprised about my heritage, I was happy with all the extra insight and information about my ancestors. I'm on the site all the time, learning about this process.

I bought a kit for myself about 10 months ago and I'm so happy I did! In fact, I was so happy that a bought kits for my father, mother, paternal grandparents, maternal grandfather, and stepfather. This service is so accurate and correct. I also love the DNA relatives feature! It's so cool how you can find relatives as far as hundreds of years back in your family tree! Thank you 23andMe!

From the use of this product my life has changed forever!
I was an adopted child so up until June of this year I had only 1 known blood relative, My daughter. With the click of a button I discovered over 1173 DNA relatives one of which is my "Bio father" whom only found out about me less than 10 years back. (I am 57)
I met him and learned the identity of my mother whom had passed away over 25 years ago. Through further re search I found my mothers family from which I have 2 brothers and 2 sisters, they have a different father. ( From my bio father 2 additional brothers)
My mother was young and in love (18) and had kept the family secret of my existence, her sisters and brother knew but that was it. My sisters and brothers had known of me but not who I am for about 16 years prior to a phone call I made July 6th of this year. This was a LIFE CHANGING EVENT for me.
We soon met and had a heart felt "reunion". My mother had often thought of me and recorded some thoughts in her diary which my sisters had found, the excerpts of which were shared with me when we met. ( Here is one of them; “When shall we meet again, Where shall it be. Will you recognize me & will I be the same.
There is no need to go searching, for you will recognize me my darling,
for I will radiate your goodness, As we are still one. “ )
I am the oldest, we are all 2 years apart, we have now started a beautiful relationship. We speak (or text) almost everyday.... There is much more to this story and much more to come.... All for now.... Thank You 23 and me!
