I had always wondered if I may be a carrier of any abnormalities or defects. Also was very curious as to my ancestry. Now I know I am healthy. Is worth the money and the 6-8 weeks for results.

This is money well spent! To know your background and heritage is priceless! I originally purchased the 23andMe kits for my two daughters as Christmas gifts, and then they purchased one for me for Mother's Day. I just purchased another kit for my son-in-law for Father's Day. This is a gift that will last for a lifetime and be invaluable to generations to come!

I was shocked to find some results especially how much Neanderthal DNA I had. Now I know why I live deep in the forest comfortably lol

Unexpected and Interesting.

I do not have much to go on when it comes to my biological parents. I did this hoping to figure out a bit more about that. I was expecting to find Hispanic, Native American or African American in my genes. I was surprised that was not the case at all. I think this testing gives you a better idea as to what you are made of. I am so glad that I did this, while my results were not what I expected they are a glimpse into what makes me who I am. As the gene testing continues to advance, more people will have more details and knowledge is power. Over all I think knowing your genes helps you make some decisions you might not have thought about making before. It feels like we are not walking blindly but with a guide through the insight your genes reveal.
