Surprise, surprise!

My whole life (I'm 68) our father told us we had an American Indian bloodline, and we were very proud of that. As my brother and I got older and our children came along, one of them got me this kit as we had always talked that we had no proof even though our coloring and hair patterns would have supported it. What an experience, no we are not American Indian, but Northern European. We knew that his Grandparents came from Germany but this goes way back to the 1600's to Finland. Especially loved the timeline provided. Very interesting. The anticipation waiting for the results was so awesome! So glad we did this.

I was amazed at what my genes showed me. My ancestors were everywhere! I am predominantly Irish/English but i have Jewish, Native American, North African and more. it's amazing

I bought two kits for Valentines Day. One for my husband and one for myself. It is amazing to see where you came from. Who would have ever known?? My Dad was born in 1903 in Virginia. He passed in 84, long before DNA. We are still waiting for my husband's to come back. British/Irish/E.Asian/Native American. My Dad would love it. Now I want to buy one for adult children.

Thank you for your feedback. The 23andMe Health + Ancestry Service is the first and only genetic service available directly to you that includes reports that meet FDA standards. You now are able to receive 65+ reports on health, traits and ancestry instead of exclusively ancestry reports.

Have had the reports 2-3 weeks now and still can not print them.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for your feedback. You can now print optimized versions of all your 23andMe reports. In addition, we’ve added a summary of all your results to help you share your 23andMe experience with others. To print your individual reports, log into your account, and look for the green "Print" button in the top right corner of any report. To print the Report Summary, navigate to the "All Reports" page in your account and click the green "Report Summary" button in the top right corner of your list of reports.

ALWAYS WONDERED WHY MY MOTHER AND FATHER BOTH TREATED ME DIFFERENT THEN MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS. ALSO I DON'T LOOK LIKE ANYONE IN MY FAMILY. I DO LOOK LIKE THE KIDS OF THE MAN MY MOTHER HAD AN AFFAIR WITH.
