waste of money

results were too generic fits most people in us wanted specific results of my background African American, American Indian etc
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for your feedback. Our Ancestry Composition report tells you what percent of your DNA comes from each of 31 populations worldwide. The analysis includes DNA you received from all of your ancestors, on both sides of your family. Some populations are inherently difficult to distinguish because of historical mixing, or we might not have had enough data to tell them apart. In these cases, your expected ancestry may actually be included in the broadly assigned ancestry for that region. The Broadly Assigned label is assigned when a piece of DNA can be found with some frequency in multiple regions.

So much information

This product and information is really priceless. I am thrilled to discover where my ancestors were located. The information is extensive, and lets me learn much more that just a country or geographic area. I am more than pleased with the information.

Clarified our heritage

Clarified that we are of English heritage, not French. We came from the Isle of Jersey in the mid 1700's which has been under control by either England or France during its history.

I think the whole process from the packaging, to the receipt of the end-product (the DNA results) was well-thought out & orchestrated. I very much appreciated the timely updates on the status of the DNA testing and interesting facts collected from the overall DNA testing of a larger & diverse population .

My children purchased this for me. I've seen other similarly priced kits from other vendors. 23 is the least interesting. Poor graphics, too much up selling, skimpy information.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

For $199 plus shipping, our Health + Ancestry Service includes access to over 60 reports on health, traits, and ancestry. For $99 plus shipping, our Ancestry Service provides access to our ancestry reports and tools which include: Ancestry Composition, DNA Relatives, Haplogroups, Neanderthal Ancestry, and our DNA comparison tools.
