Not much waiting

From the time I ordered the kit it was no time at all until I had it and sent it back. They let me know when they received it and a few short weeks later I received notice my report was ready. I opened it and read it briefly and was pleased so many things were reported. Seemed very thorough, but admittedly I need to take more time to read it completely again...I was surprised there was such a difference in my "Ancestry composition" between 23 and Me and Ancestry, which I had done a year before....Both services had me at 99% and 100% European but the breakdown differed greatly between the two reports....I will be interested to read how this is possible.....Friends I have shared this with have questioned the results too....So, the 23 and me has raised more questions for me than were answered...
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great information very specific

It took a few months to get my results. I was very excited to get them. The results were very specific and even said how far back each nationality was in my genetics. I highly recommend it to anyone curious about their ancestry.

Found My Biological Father!!!!

I purchased this with the hopes of finding my biological father. I had no idea that within minutes of signing up for DNA relatives I would have a match. We spoke by phone and will be meeting in person soon!

Disbelief

I had my doubts about this test being accurate. I no longer have any doubts, I actually was blown away with the accuracy of every test especially as to my skin tone and eye color. I have already purchased this kit for my sons since they were very interested in what results would come back for them. The wonderful thing is that we are able to share our reports to further our knowledge and understanding of what I provided them with as to my DNA.

I am so thrilled! 23andMe was easy to do and once my results arrived I was so happy with how detailed my DNA results were. I now know where I came from and what my heritage is and it is such a wonderful and fulfilling thing to know. I will always be so happy that I made this investment in myself!

A Perfect Christmas Gift!

It revealed amazing surprises of my ancestry. I knew all along that I have Chinese and Spanish ancestors, but Finnish? Where did that come from? I'm super excited to get my mother's results.

Enlightening!

Always told my Mom was English & Scotish and my Dad was Irish and American Indian. Part of the story was true. My Mom has ancestry all over the globe and my Dad is straight-up European. Lots of fun sharing with family. Maybe we can make up some new stories about our ancestry! This was a great Christmas gift.
