Do not waste your money.

The information was so broad that I wonder if the sample was even run. It did not narrow the results to individual countries. I am totally unsatisfied.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I was very happy with my results. I am adopted so this information confirmed the little bit I had from the agency. I am very interested in history and genetics in general and this test allowed me to confirm several of my own perdictions about my ancestry too! It was fun!

If you have a lot of known information about your ancestors then the program willonly confirm what you know.

So fun and enlightening!!!

I was given the kit as a gift by someone who had always heard about a 'rumor' regarding my family's ethnicity. It was just a lark for me and I learned my brother had also received a DNA kit as well.
Well, don't you know, the family rumors were not only NOT true but the results revealed ancestry that actually makes MORE sense to me than the tales passed down through family! Crazily, I feel 'right', finally. My almost 97% Scandinavian and very northern European ancestry might explain why I always felt healthier in very cold climates!(maybe not, but I always said I felt like a polar bear living in the Sahara desert).
This has been so much fun I almost wish there was a point to doing it again.

Incredibly Insightful as an Adoptee

I was adopted as a child from Ukraine and could only guess what my ancestral background was. I received the ancestry and health DNA kit as a Christmas present this year and was finally able to see where my ancestors originated and migrated to and ease my mind on possible health issues. I got my biological sister the ancestry kit and we're hoping to piece together whether we're full or half siblings based on the results, something we may never have been able to find out if DNA testing wasn't so accessible and affordable. I recieved my results recently so there's still a lot I have to learn!

Now more than ever, people need to see the map of the world not as separations of people by borders, but as a story told by history through the traveling footprints of our common blood ancestors.

My daughter bought a kit for each family member as our hold at gift from her. Brilliant!!! Your sight it better than ancestry I have also used them. Please inspire your users of the the deceased that will be cured in the future due to all the data collected . It's not just to see where you came from but to cute and prevent desease and sickness for the future
