Not too shabby

I purchased this item to shred a lot of papers with sensitive information. Took about 15 minutes and ended up shredding 2 buckets worth of paper. not loud and cuts amazingly. Reverse function could be better but the safety lock and shredding part is perfect.

secure shredding!

i was being bombarded by too much junk mail (but then, who isn't?!!) and could not keep up with the stacks of mail. i have always recycled all paper before and it became a real time-consuming chore after a while. with this great shredder, it cuts my recycling time at least by half to three-quarters! not only does this expedite my recycling, but shredding helps to securely chop my info on any sensitive letters or documents! i would recommend this shredder also because it has enough power to tackle 11 sheets of paper at once and can also handle old credit cards.

Very good home shredder

I purchased my shredder and took it home. It didn't come with instruction booklet so I started to use as I had my previous shredder for 7 years. I shred docs for about 5 minutes and it stopped and it appeared shredder had a jam even though I was only shredding 5 pieces at a time. I called Fellowes and was told to only shred for 5 minutes at a time and let it cool plus after you empty container apply oil to it. Neither of these were an issue with previous shredder. Anyhow, they sent me a new shredder and a manual. After reviewing it and following the directions the shredder is working great. Note: Include manual with every shredder. It will not shred 11 sheets at a time easily.

First Fellowes Shredder Purchase

I have owned several same priced shredders and the teeth have twisted and bent when inserting credit cards. This machine shredded it with ease. A keeper, if you ask me!
