Excellent shredder, breaks down paper to small unreadable pieces. Handles multi-sheets of paper with no jamming, Best Purchase Ever.

As with my previous Fellowes, I have nothing but great praise for this unit. It has performed well in all aspects of its sefvices and I look forward to a long period of use as I had with my previous Fellowes.

The Perfect Shredder!!

This shredder is my new best friend. It works like a charm! I love the clear window to see when you need to empty it. Also, the lock makes it safe while the children are around.

Waste of time and money

I give this device top marks for safety only because the shredder works once and then never again. After 3 attempts at getting this device to work over a 2 month period it now sits by the front entrance awaiting its untimely trip to the garbage compactor. Save your time. Save your money. Save your sanity. Save the material you need to shred and sneak it into the secure destruction containers at work. Don't shred the receipt. You'll need it.

Cons: doesn't work, loss of sanity

Locked up

It's locked up. Small pieces of paper (receipts from purchases; one at a time) have locked it down. The 5 minute run time I guess has locked it down for 30 minutes but it got me after only 2 minutes. I've waited 45 minutes. It will run in reverse but not forward. There's nothing in it Heading back to the store for a refund and a selection of another brand.
Cons: locked up after only 2 minutes of run time
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hell rccc, sometimes small pieces of paper can interfere with the sensors on the machine which can trigger a situation in which your shredder will only run in reverse- this sounds exactly like what you experienced. We are sorry for the trouble and sorry that you nave exchanged your machine for another brand.

HARD WORKING

Instructions were concise and clear, easy to understand. Good visuals and verbiage. Overall compact size. Motor is not too heavy to lift. Bin size is compact and easy to empty. The only reason I did not check shreds credit cards, staples and CDs is because in the manual it reads: Will shred: Paper, plastic credit cards, staples and small paper clips.
Will not shred: Unopened junk mail, continuous forms, adhesive labels, transparencies,newspaper, CD/DVDs, cardboard, large paper clips, laminates, file folders, X-rays or plastic other than noted above.
