Great Printer

I bought this printer to use for my classroom as my school does not have color printers available for teachers. It is very fast and the pictures and text are crisp an clear. I love this printer and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good, fast color laser printer.

I am very impressed with the compact design of the Brother printer. I have found this to be a quality printer which produces sharp, clear prints with true to original color. I have used many other printers in the past which were not up to this standard. This printer has produced quality print jobs each and every time.
I was very pleased with the neutral color of the actual printer which blends in with my office space. I particularly like the wireless function which can be used to print wirelessly from any device by anyone in my network. Envelopes are printed easily you just need to be sure to open the back panel and release the two grey tabs completely so the envelopes do not wrinkle.

The printer came in a very sturdy box and packed very well. It was simple to set up with just one cord which needed connected to an outlet. It came with a CD to install the printer drivers. It would have been beneficial if the quick set up instructions would have been more detailed in reference to the alternative wireless setup. I actually needed to use the up and down arrows on the printer menu to scroll through the alphabet to input the SSID and Network Key to set up the wireless connection. This took a few extra minutes to get the printer connected but once it was connected to the network there has been no problem.
Overall, I have been very impressed with the high quality print jobs produced by this printer. The online manual is invaluable for learning quickly about the various functions in more detail. I will continue to use this printer for my printing needs. I would recommend this printer.

Some good features, some not so good

I like it overall, but, I am disappointed in the way it prints pictures. There is no control over intensity, tint, etc.. I am an artist, and I bought it hoping to use it to make saleable prints of my work, but sad to say, I'm not too happy with that.

Perfect Printer for the Small Office

The true test of office equipment is often how well it can perform in a small office environment where the luxury of a tech team isn`t in the budget. In the real world smaller can`t mean less productive, and here the Brother HL-L8260 CDW performs like a champion. For the smaller office the three features most needed are definitely apparent. Easy to Set UpThe product instructions for this printer are easy to follow, and setting up the printer to immediately start producing high quality prints was simple. It`s possible to print from USB drives with the HL-L8260`s handy port located in the front, where it is easily accessed. AirPrint is possible for Apple mobile devices, and wireless setup is quick with the printer`s touch-screen LCD. Loading Paper Anyone working in a small office typically has one complaint about most printers, and that`s jamming. It can bring production to a halt, and frustrate even the most even-tempered staff member. Working with the L8260 for a month reveals this printer runs smoothly, quietly, and with no jams despite continual usage. Quality of the Printing Nothing makes a small business look as amateurish as poor quality printing. After printing maps, photos, standard reports, color photos the results are top notch. Shading was perfect in photos, small print was clear with no blurring or fading, and printing on two sides resulted in cost savings with no loss of quality. Printing was fast up to 33 ppm for black and color printing, which can make a big difference in productivity.

This printer was fairly simple to set up; the instructions on how to remove the tabs and plastic pieces were clear. I do not have a computer with a cd drive so i had to do the setup through the website. The printer is fairly large, but great quality and worth the extra space. The print quality is great; I use this multiple times a day for work. The printer is relatively quiet compared to other printers i`ve owned in the past. I like that the compartments are clearly labeled and it doesn`t seem too complicated to change out the ink. Overall, this is a great product and i would purchase again.

We really like our Brother Printer. Very easy to install and get it to wirelessly print. Good print quality and works well for a long period of time without needing much maintenance.

So far, the printing is pretty good...I had to calibrate and will probably do that again. Using paper designed for laserjet machines is always a good idea for optimum results.
One thing I want to suggest...Brother please update your installation guide. If a user has a multi channel router, the printer must first be hooked up to the wifi using the LCD screen on the printer (if it has one) THEN plug into computer to finish installation. Not the other way around. It took me 2 hours of failure and researching the internet and then a call to Brother because the installation guide is not complete, the printer kept kicking my pc('s) off the wifi.

Overall Performance

Overall the performance is good. I am concerned with the wireless connection - it is deceptive. Yes it has the capacity to print high volume in color, however the receiving speed is slow. Because it is wireless this gets bogged down at times and becomes incredibly slow.
I would recommend this to a friend!
