When toner is out - Printer becomes a paperweight.

All I'm going to say is, when your toner is out (yes, it does warn you for awhile when it's low), the printer is USELESS. It becomes a paperweight. You can NOT print anything (even black and white when a color is out) until you buy a NEW cartridge. You can not place a cartridge from the same model into it. The printer 'reads' something off the toner that makes them un-swappable. There, no longer, are codes to reset the toner count and continue printing. Brother tells you when you must replace the toner and my prints looks fine. I used to go two or three months longer until the page faded enough to replace the toner. Those days are over.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Print Preview

For some reason the Print Preview option in Printing Preferences was dropped between the HL-L8250 and the HL-L8260. No control over what pages are actually printed. Creates lost time, paper and ink. Not environmentally friendly at all either. Disappointed. I thought by buying a replacement printer in the same model line as the HL-8250 that it would have the same functionality.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bad Printer

Bought this unit and the print quality sucks, the heat rollers continue to tear and destroy anything that is printed with a stripe down the sheet, finding replacement parts is near impossible to even get it fixed. Not worth the money - the paper tray clip broke and there aren't any replacements available unless you want to purchase the entire bottom tray. We use the printer to print product labels and this machine wasted more paper and product than I can count. I do not recommend this printer. And the ink runs out quickly!

"No Paper"

Every time I try to print something, the printer tells me there is "no paper". I always have paper in this printer. I have to take all the paper out and put it in again multiple times before it will print. What is wrong? It's a BRAND NEW printer.

Great except for manual feed

I bought this unit as a replacement for an HL-L8360CDW that I had for 5 years and that performed flawlessly, mostly printing labels for the products we make. This new model does use the same color cartridges and prints very well, I am very pleased with the print quality and page cost. The only flaw I have discovered is that when using the manual feed tray, it will only print two sheets without jamming.

Very fast printer! Pumps out the prints! Huge added bonus that the printer comes with color toner as well! Very easy to set up and love the wireless functionality!

Great printer!

Makes great printouts. Hooking up to the wireless network was tricky due to the option buttons in the install button. Once I figured that out, it went well. I am a techie guy so I hope those who aren't, hopefully, have someone around that is.

Good printing, TERRIBLE drivers

The print quality is good and the speed is fine. However, no matter what setting we choose for two-sided printing, it ALWAYS flips short edge for two-sided printing. This is terrible. We have to manually print two-sided, and that defeats the whole purpose of buying a printer that can print two-sided. Beware of this product until they fix the drivers (which should have happened a long time ago as I am finding many people with the same problem posting on forums from over a year ago).
