Ease of Use, Very Effective = Great Product

Excellent product. I had tarter that the dentist was going to have to remove through an unpleasant procedure, but after using the Airfloss for 6 months, I returned to the dentist and is was completely removed. I've never been a flosser, so this product has improved my dental health dramatically. He even said, "I see you have begun flossing, because your teeth and gums are very healthy" I use a mouth rinse in mine. Battery life is excellent. The only thing I can think of to make it better is the fluid chamber, if it were a bit larger. It lasts for 2 treatments. I assume this is to prevent bacterial growth, so that you have to refill the chamber often. It only takes a few seconds so this is very minor. I even travel with mine, and its very durable. My wife has even started using mine, and loves it.
Pros: ease of use, very effective, powerful, durable
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great product but...

I have used this product since before it was introduced into the market at the recommendation of my hygienist. This is my 6th unit. Works great! The problem is there are no instructions about how to clean it and care for it. The tank is impossible to dry out (I currently stuff toilet tissue in it nightly to dry it out), if you don't, over time it develops a yellow scum, very unsanitary. I travel and left my last unit without use for over 30-days. When I tried to use it, it was plugged internally with black scum, it would kick out a glob but would not allow the water to process through it. I threw it away. The tube will also develop scum and is impossible to clean. You need very specific instructions of how to care for and clean these units. The manual is a joke! Over time the reservoir cap will come off and although it can be reinstalled, over time you lose it as the connection weakens and it will not stay on. I love the size/weight of the unit and how it cleans between my teeth otherwise I would look elsewhere.
Pros: great size & shape, great pressure - works!
Cons: impossible to clean tank and nozzle, manual is a joke/useless, develops scum which can't be cleaned, no suggested cleaning techniques, cap for tank comes off over time and can get lost

Worked Great until the "snap" disappeared and all it would do is groan, then next day,nothing.. Required recharging about once a month, but after dying - Nothing. If I could find instructions on Battery replacement I'd try it.

Dies after 6 months use.

This is the second time I have invested in this product. First time I forgot to register the item. Loved the ease of use. I used moth wash in the basin and feel mouth refreshed. Unfortunately the item stopped working, it makes a loud noise but no pressure in the squirt. On this second one I have a two and half year warranty until 1/15/15. I'll check to see what the procedure is to replace this item.
Pros: easy use
Cons: dies after 6 months

Great Flossing Tool...short lived for the price!

This tool is great for flossing....however, it lasted six months before dying. This experience suggests it is NOT worth the expense paid for the product. Make it last at least a year and then maybe it would be worth it.
Pros: great at flossing so long as it works
Cons: lasted only 6 months!

Hello,
We are not happy to hear about your experience with our Philips Sonicare AirFloss. Your product carries a warranty of 2 years and in this instance, we would best recommend you to contact our Consumer Care team on the following link: http://philips.to/1lvKHwx under the Toothbrushes / Sonicare section and our representative with expertise in handling this product will be happy to help you. Thanks.
This is my first time trying this flosser after using waterpick for years. it does the job well, but sometimes seems to be a tad too strong. If you point it slightly off it may cause a slight bleeding of your gums. Nothing drastic, but may scare someone off. The best thing is that you can floss with mouthwash and it covers both cleaning and rinsing. design by itself is ergonomic, easy to hold and clean.
