It leaks

I've just bought Philips Airfloss couple days ago. It is great and I love it. I don't have to use needle floss anymore. However after a few days of using, it starts leaking from the reservoir. At first, I thought I didn't close the cap properly, so I start carefully close the cap after I refill the reservoir and take note. The problem didn't go away and it keeps leaking constantly. I contacted Philips's Customer Care and they are sending me a new one. Hopefully the new one won't leak.
I love the Philips Airfloss but the leaking problem is the biggest draw back of this product. So it's 3 stars.

Still makes grinding noise at times but as long as it keeps working, I'm keeping it.

The handle I currently have is my 5th or 6th because the earlier ones kept breaking.
I like the design of the pro I have now but it still makes a grinding noise at times. Since it took months to get the replacement I currently have, as long as it keeps on working, I'll keep it.
I do love the concept & it has made considerable difference in my gingivitis (when I had it). I have arthritis in my hands and cannot use regular floss. Also my teeth are very close in areas & it is difficult to get the floss into those areas.
So, I highly recommend this product but I sure hope they get their quality control worked out.
Pros: love the design, like the larger bin for mouthwash, it works on gingivitis.
Cons: took me months to get a new handle that works.

Great Idea But Don't Work

I would recommend it because it is a great way to to clean between teeth BUT the unit fails within days, spent more time replacing 4 units than getting use out of it and just could not call the company back to replace another, each one would not work won't hold a charge when it's charging for days, then when you do get a serge of water out of it it dies in one shot, was to fed up replacing the units just threw them away.. I know you are a good company Phillps you need to work on this great idea with a real workable unit

Cons: each unit fails
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great product.

I love my AirFloss. I am a dental hygienist (30+ years), looking for innovative ways to remove inter-proximal plaque. I have tried every type of floss and interdental cleaning device that is on the market. I am so pleased with this new technology, that I am purchasing the AirFloss for family and friends for Christmas.
The use of oral rinses may be therapeutic. When you have completed the use of the AirFloss, refill the reservoir with water and flush the unit by discharging enough water to remove the oral rinse.
The AirFloss is easy to remove plaque from crown margins, veneers, braces and implants. Just make sure the jet of water/air is perpendicular to the tooth or implant surface.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is actually my second one. The first lasted not quite 6 years. I have teeth that are very close together which makes flossing impractical as it damages my gums when I actually get the floss between my teeth. Threaders don't fit and are impractical due to time. My dental assistant and dentist actually noticed a marked difference when I started using and my gum health has only gotten consistently better since. Thanks for giving me a flossing alternative that works!
Pros: long lasting, marked improvement in gum and teeth health
Cons: will make gums bleed the first few times used

Best Dental check up in a lomng time and no lecture about using floss. Love it and I highly recomend,
Pros: easy to get to molars.
Cons: would like colored heads so we could share the bas

Works great if you are not a flosser. You're gums will bleed a little at the beginning but once you use consistenly they will no longer bleed and gums will be healthier! Get an excellent exam at all your dentists appts. I like it with mouthwash! Worth it for my family!

Great alternative to flossing

I am a dental professional who works in an office where we recommend the air floss to so many patients! It is a great way for people who lack dexterity or have some disability that hinders traditional flossing. It is a highly effective resource that patience will actually use! I use it myself and love it, as well as the Dentist that I work for and several others within our office. Our patients are giving us rave reviews and we are seeing improvements in their gum health and hopefully less decay!!
