As an adult wearing braces for the second time, I love the ease and the convenience of the AirFloss. Traditional flossing takes much longer to do with braces and with "chains". I do spend the time before bed to floss the usual way, but I use the AirFloss after breakfast and lunch. It removes a great deal more than just brushing.
Pros: ease of use, directs air and water exactly where you want it, light-weight
My dental hygienist now gives me control on when I get my teeth cleaned as a result of the air floss.
Pros: great flossing
I would recommend this to a friend!

I enjoyed using it while it worked. I had a dental implant procedure and was told not to use it for a few months after the post was inserted. After a few months the implant was put in place so I was able to use the Air Floss again but it wouldn't work. It won't recharge.
Cons: poor battery system.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent to start with but after approx 3 months of use the heads starting moving slightly away from the body. The result was every time you pressed the button to release the pressusrised water you get sprayed with water on face and neck
Pros: if philips could sort the head it does work well
Cons: don't like getting soaked
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

the best way to floss

I have been using the Sonicare air floss for about four months. At first I was a little apprehensive but after a few stings on my tongue, I got the hang of it and have really enjoyed using this product. It was a big plus keeping my hands out of my mouth when flossing. I find it best to trigger the air/water twice between each of my teeth to ensure the removal of all plaque. I have no problem recommending this product. My next dental appointment is coming up soon and I am anxious to see the cleaning results from using this product.
As someone whose had a really rough time of getting into the habit of flossing every night, this device has solved the problem! I bought this about 3 weeks ago and haven't gone a day without using it at least once!
It's really easy to use and actually makes your mouth feel great.
It also leaves just enough mouthwash in my mouth for a good swish around.
That was the problem I had with another product I tried to use, it was a waterfall of fluid coming out of my mouth. Way too messy and water all over the bathroom sink counter top. Plus it was tethered to that machine, making it a little awkward using it.
None of those problems with the Air Floss!
The Philips website could be a LOT better at showing how to use their dental care products for Maximum performance. I would actually expect a much better website... I couldn't even find the videos they show at the store where I bought my brushes and air floss.
I haven't been to my dental hygienist yet to hear what she thinks after she's examined my teeth, but if it's anything close to the claims, I should be in great shape.
Pros: easy to use, mouth feels great after use
Cons: a little expensive but cheaper than a cavity
