problem with battery won't hold charge
on February 15, 2014

Great product except oops battery won't hold charge
Customer service says - "battery can fail from over-charging - -do not leave on charger constantly, wait until light on handle changes color indicating low charge"
The tiny insert says something vaguely like this without DO NOT DO NO DO NOT PARK HANDLE ON CHARGER
and so should be rewritten
likewise a clear tape message could be taped on to the handle of the same alarum
You can change your insert and stick-on more easily;y than re engineering your product, I expect
(Do I get a bonus for improving your product?)
I would recommend this to a friend!

1 week, 10 uses - broken!

Charged and followed all the instructions, it appeared to lose charge and stop working so recharged it for a day, noticed the resevoir was empty so refilled, turned it on, pressed the button and it made as whirring sound and all the liquid disappeared into the handle recess somewhere, and it just made a grinding sound before stopping...repeated with water, not mouth wash, same result, what a waste of money going back for money back tomorrow....an absolute waste of time and effort too, not fit for purpose
Pros: nice form
Cons: ony supposed to do the front of teeth not the bac, broke in a heart beat, gets sticky very quickly, noisy

Lack of quality control

I purchased two -- one never worked correctly and stopped working altogether after less than 5 uses. My husband took the tops off both and we found that one did not have a hose for the water/mouthwash to squirt out and the mouthwash had been accumulating where the working parts are housed. Although the PROPERLY CONSTRUCTED one works very well, I would not recommend this product based on the lack of QUALITY CONTROL.

Not reliable

Having used a Phillips Sonicare toothbrush for a number of years, replacing it once in a few years, I felt I could try the Air Floss even though several reviews said that the Air Flosser broke down. I ordered the Air Flosser on Sept. 27 and have been using it twice a day since it arrived early in October. Tonight, November 6, 2015, the machine just stopped in the middle, and quit. Only yesterday, I received an email asking my opinion, experience with this product. And now I can truthfully write a review -- this product is unreliable, and for the price it is definitely not worth it. If I receive a replacement, I will "hold my breath" until it passes the two month mark, and every month thereafter! IF it lasts that long.
I am surprised it is not anywhere near as sturdy and reliable a product as the Toothbrushes. Also, it did not hold a charge for more than a week.
Pros: slender nozzle is easy to maneuver
Cons: handle is awkward and slips easily when wet, broke down in middle of use even tho charged, plastic cover for water container easily pops off, doesn't hold charge for 2 weeks

Poor Design
on February 25, 2015

At first it worked well. However, the design should be improved.
Placing water in the front compartment is tricky as the the front flap often comes off. Eventually the water would spray out all over me so I had to cover myself with a towel so as to not get water all over me. The charge life is short and finally the top nozzle broke off one day.
Overall when it gets the job done but not without problems. Philips needs to rethink the design of this product.
Pros: works to get stuff stuck between teeth
Cons: design

Great routine-starter

My worklife keeps me very busy. I am always in a rush. I ALWAYS forget to floss and use mouthwash, even though I have both at home. It could be because I'm slightly lazy from long work days. I've only been using this for a little bit and has gotten be in a better hygenic routine. I just leave this in the shower and it's always there. I love that I can use my own mouthwash and it just shoots bursts of it. I would like an option for it to stream liquid. It's like having a home dentist's kit, minus the vacuum.
Pros: sleek design like most dental products, use of own mouthwash
Cons: could be thinner, no option to stream. only bursts.
I would recommend this to a friend!
