A must for your oral hygiene!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Once you try the Airfloss, you cannot live without it. This device is perfect to complete your oral hygiene in conjunction with your electric toothbrush.
I have had problems with the short battery life on previous version but this one seems to have the issue fixed (let see how it keeps performing).
Nice design and functionality.
I would recommend this to a friend!

A great idea with too many flaws

I've had four Airfloss units, but only purchased two. the others replaced units that stopped charging after a year but under the two-year warranty. Philips is great with living up to its guarantee. Unfortunately, it really needs to be in the case of Airfloss. My original unit, looking rather shabby, is still the best I've had. Just recently, I discovered I can no longer find nozzle replacements, because Philips has introduced the Airfloss PRO, with a different nozzle and different pulsing system. Because the new nozzle has a flat, not pointed tip, it doesn't clean nearly as well.
Pros: modern sleek design, first model cleaned very well
Cons: new model not as good at basic cleaning, short rechargeable life, messy with water spilling
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good for sensitive gums

I have sensitive gums, which tend to bleed if I go anywhere near them with dental floss, so I don't floss as often as as I'd like. The AirFloss has been a really handy substitute since I can just blast some mouthwash from a distance. I've always had problems flossing between my molars too so this seems to work a bit better.
Pros: easy to use, less hassle for rear teeth
Cons: small crevices may take some work

This is the sixth AirFlosser I've had to replace due to poor reliability. This is not typical of other Philips products
Pros: effective

after using this product for less than a year it started spraying water from the base of the nozzle a few months later it would blow the nozzle off of the base I tried new nozzles with the same problem. Phillips need to address this issue.

Better Applications

This is a very interesting device. It's sturdy and well constructed. The battery life is excellent. The charging stand design is elegant and is compatible with my Soncare toothbrush.
It works fine for me, maybe a bit messy. If I feel spry, I'll squirt the nozzle at the dogs from across the room.
My girlfriend has tight interproximal gaps and the water jet just caroms off her teeth, making a mess. She classifies the AirFloss as "the most profoundly useless device ever".
Since she doesn't care for it, and is tired of my canine target practice, I had to find a better use for it. So far, I found works great filling the reservoir with vermouth. The little spritz makes a perfect dry martini!
Pros: well constructed, convenient, great battery life, great bar tool
Cons: messy, ineffective for tight teeth

Every single one breaks
on August 17, 2015

We bought an AirFloss 1 year ago, it dies within 3 months. Ok, we thought...it's new technology. We will wait until they update it.
So, when the new model came out, we bought 3, one for every member of our family.
#1 died in week. We exchanged it at the store.
#2 died a week later. The next day #3 started making the tell-tale sound that said it was on it's last legs.
The replacement for #1? It died a week later.
Now, all of them have been returned for a refund.
When they work, they are amazing. I want SO badly to use this product, but they should not be on the market yet. Phillips obviously rushed to market without proper testing.
It's unfortunate because my trust in the brand has been eroded. I have been a sonicare user for 15 years and have always been a vocal evangelist of them. However, it's going to take a lot to convince me to ever buy an airfloss again.
Pros: wonderful when it works
Cons: breaks within a week

Loved it until...

I loved my AirFloss. I used mouthwash in it and it made my mouth feel so fresh and clean. I used it morning and night until it stopped working. Now I put it on the charger. It lights up, but when I push the button to floss, the light goes out and nothing happens. So sad.
Pros: left a great feeling
Cons: quit working
