Terrible product

This toothbrush never worked as well as other Sonicare toothbrushes I've had. It never seemed to have the same power. After a few short months it started turning itself on inthe middle of the of the night, which was disconcerting to say the least, and then stopped working altogether.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Dental Hygienist Beware!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was a bit skeptical about the Philips Sonicare DailyClean 1100 Power Toothbrush because I received it for free as part of a product test, boy was I totally wrong. After using the toothbrush for the first time I was immediately sold. The toothbrush is lightweight and easy to use. The charger is small and doesn’t take up much room unlike a lot of power toothbrushes. The fact that you do not have to charge daily or even weekly is great for those of us with limited time. You charge it every two weeks. The bristles are gentle on my teeth and gums, plaque floats away and the 2-minute shut off with 30 second pauses takes the guess work out of how long you are brushing your teeth. My teeth not only looked fantastic, but they felt great – as clean as you get in a Dental Hygienist chair.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great quality, but frustrating vibration

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was my first Sonicare toothbrush I’ve used and didn’t realize how different the brushing mechanism is compared to oscillating brushes like Oral-B. I’ll first start with the pros and then the cons.
Pros:
- Great build quality and looks very professional.
- Much longer lasting battery than ones I’ve used in the past so it would be good for longer trips.
- I was surprised at how well just the vibration created the foam without having to move the toothbrush like a manual.

Unfortunately there were several factors that I really did not enjoy.
- I really did not like the Sonicare vibration and how it felt on my teeth. I thought I would get used to it, but after over 3 weeks of use my front top teeth still really do not like the sensation. The handle also vibrates a lot which made it not as enjoyable to hold.
- I don’t like how it just turns off after 2 minutes instead of a buzz/beep indicator to let you know 2 minutes has passed. I’m often not fully done and have to turn it back on, but the position of the power button makes it hard to press when your in the middle of brushing.
- I wish the manual was more clear differences between models of the same toothbrush. It was difficult to tell what features mine actually has such as different power levels or charging light versus what was a higher end version.
- I really wish the instructions or videos online clearly detailed how to use brush. The shape of the head is similar to a manual so I wasn’t sure if you can have side to side motion as well if you’re only supposed to slowly move the brush across each tooth.

Overall, while this is by no means a bad toothbrush but I am not a fan of the vibration feeling and would prefer an oscillating brush instead. I also wish it allowed you to keep brushing after 2 minutes.

Product stopped charging after 5 months

This toothbrush was amazing at first, however after five months after using it, it has stopped charging. Very upset with the product.

The Smooth Operator Phillips Sonicare Toothbrush

My mouth felt amazingly clean and fresher than ever after brushing , It's a great way to better brushing and better oral hygiene. . The brushes are soft but firm enough to do a perfect job of making your teeth look great , they roate and your mouth feel refreshed . It's easy to use and operate , just plug in an outlet and turn on and brush for a couple minutes and you will see Amazing results .

Great toothbrush - amazing results!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Philips DailyClean 1100 power toothbrush has been very effective on my smile since I began use. I must admit my experience was a little funny as the very first time I used the toothbrush the included corresponding directions gave me the impression I could use it immediately without a preliminary charge - for whatever reason it didn't power up right away and, as I was in a bit of a rush to get out of the house, I actually ended up just using it manually. After a good overnight charge I followed the instructions to activate the "easy-start" feature so I could acclimate to the brush properly. I must admit after a few weeks of use the difference is undeniable, my teeth even FEEL cleaner after every brushing moreso than they ever have with a manual or any other brush and my gums no longer bleed from me applying too much pressure. There is a noticeable reduction in plaque build up that can occur in the crevices of my teeth and I even believe my "morning breath" has improved. I also attended a wedding on September 1st with my boyfriend and his cousin remarked from across the table how white my teeth looked mid-conversation in a dark reception hall - I was a bit caught off guard as I guess seeing my teeth every day I may not have noticed and admitted I hadn't had any whitening done, instead I just switched out my toothbrush to a Sonicare. My favorite feature of all has to be the 2 minute timer though, as simple as it is, it keeps me honest and I know for a fact I am going to brush for the full 2 minutes rather than estimating the duration so I feel much more confident about my overall oral health. I will continue to track my progress but I am fairly certain I will be sticking with this brush after this study ends (so long as the replacement heads are affordable) as I am so beyond thrilled with the results already! The only improvement I can think of would be the addition of some kind of germicidal UV light feature for thorough sanitation of the brush head. Thank you for allowing me to participate and having an interest in consumer feedback.
